Autodromo di Vallelunga officially revealed
KUNOS Simulazioni is glad to announce that the italian racing circuit “Piero Taruffi” of Vallelunga will be officially included in the upcoming PC racing game Assetto Corsa.
Vallelunga is not just one of the italian tracks included in the upcoming PC game Assetto Corsa: it is also the Kunos Simulazioni’s HQ. Since 2009, the software house has been located inside the track with the aim to “live” and breath the world of motorsport on a daily basis.
Having a research&development studio in a racing track homologated for international races and Formula 1 tests, represents an excellent opportunity by a logistic and commercial point of view. It has allowed the development team of Assetto Corsa to improve its modeling techniques of 3D environments, in order to optimize the data collection on those tracks where timeline and weather conditions are not ideal. Since 2009, the staff of the Autodromo of Vallelunga proved to be a valuable partner, and also thanks to its logistical cooperation, today Kunos Simulations owns the ideal assets to bring on an ambitious production like Assetto Corsa, that is used by the CSAI (Italian federal motorsport Commission) to assist young drivers attending the Federal School.
The Autodromo of Vallelunga, reproduced in all of its characteristics, will be included in the first release of Assetto Corsa and is the subject of a gallery of images showing the awesome McLaren MP4-12C in action on the circuit located near the beautiful city of Rome, Italy.

Ferrari 599XX EVO officially licensed!
KUNOS Simulazioni is glad to introduce the 599XX EVO, the fourth Ferrari revealed for Assetto Corsa.
This car represents the extreme, racing evolution of Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano, with the same transaxle layout end engine type, and it is conceived for exclusive track use. It comes with 19” slick tyres , specifically developed to maximise stability in cornering and increase lateral acceleration. The Kunos devteam has decided to include this Ferrari in Assetto Corsa after seeing this extreme car in action at Vallelunga race circuit on many occasions. Marco Massarutto, Assetto Corsa’s Project & Licensing Manager commented:
“This ‘car’ is simply brutal, “nasty”.Vastly different in comparison to other road cars modified to be used in competitions, the 599XX Evo is much more like a prototype. When you see it in action, is difficult to imagine that it comes from a road-legal base. It looks, it drives, it sounds differently to any other car. And it’s an exclusive car, that just few lucky people in the world can drive on track. It’s the same on the virtual side: few racing games include the 599XX Evo, therefore we believe that gamers and car enthusiasts will appreciate our effort to bring this awesome car in Assetto Corsa.“

Assetto Corsa introduces the Ferrari 458 GT2. This car follows the 458 Italia and the F40, and is the third of the first five Ferraris announced for Assetto Corsa. Based on technical data provided by the technical department of Maranello, this awesome racing car has also been a subject of study and analysis on many occasions during tests held at Vallelunga Race circuit, where the Kunos Simulazioni’s HQ is located. Feedback from the drivers and data analysis have been very important in order to reproduce this car with the maximum fidelity.
Update
The Ferrari 458 GT2 will be included in the definitive release of Assetto Corsa: the devteam is working both on the technical development and also on the delicate side of commercialization and distribution of the game: these aspects require a lot of attention and the team is making every possible effort to guarantee the best outcome and support to their potential customers. Thank you for your patience.”
Ferrari 458 GT2 technical data
The Ferrari 458 GT2 is the most extreme racing version of the 458 Italia and follows the regulations of both ACO and FIA. As such, the engine horsepower is heavily limited, the gearbox is replaced with a Hewland six-speed sequential, ABS and Traction Control is not permitted in most of the leagues and the car must comply with the minimum weight specified by the rules plus eventual ballast can be added if needed.

Ferrari F40 official license
As many of you will know, Kunos Simulazioni announced that there will be 5 Ferraris in the upcoming PC game Assetto Corsa. First we announced the Ferrari 458 Italia, a modern icon, the next Ferrari is a legend.
The Ferrari F40, the last car to be made under Enzo Ferraris gaze, will appear in your garage in Assetto Corsa. A mid-engined supercar, made in 1987 to celebrate 40 years of Ferrari road cars; the F40 was the fastest, most powerful and most expensive car sold by Ferrari at the time.
With a twin-turbocharged 2.9 litre V8 engine pushing out 471 horsepower, allied to a kerb weight of 1,100Kg, the F40 can find 60 mph from rest in under 4 seconds. And with a top speed over over 200 mph the F40 held the world speed record for production cars in its day.
This two door coupe machine has been seen in posters on the wall of every teenage boy since its creation, and we’re sure that you’re going to love driving it in Assetto Corsa.
