1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

in AC there are many cars but except some few for the majority there are not clear indications to which class they could make part of. For instance how many people knows that the Evora GTC and the 911 GT3 Cup raced together in a class callled GTC? Also the performance indicators frequently do not help so much as they do not fully reflect the lap times.
Based on what above and as I realized that I am not the only one interested than I want to ask the people community about to share their experience about the creation of competitive and equilibrated Customs Championships. Please possibly specify at least the Cars, the Tracks and the number of Laps.
To have a competitive championships the cars should have similar performances inside the same class with few seconds of difference per lap.
    Thank you in advance

This an interesting combination for classic cars. Do you used road liveries for gt40?

Here is the a combination for the above mentioned GTC cars:

    - Cars: Porsche 911 GT3 Cup, Lotus Evora GTC, Praga R1. The cars on the main tracks are in a couple of secs. Only racing liveries ( for the Lotus you have only 3)
    Tracks:
    1. Spa
    2. Barcelona GP
    3. Brands Hatch
    4. Mugello
    5. Zandvoort
    6. Nurburgring Endurance

Laps 14 except Nurburgring Endurance which are only 3.
    Level: Very Hard

Yep. I try to avoid the racing ones on that championship because the other two are road cars.

When we talked about this in the other thread,i was refering to like, recreate real life championships from the past or modern days. But for road cars, this idea is very good!i'll post in short time 4 or 5 classic f1/endurance championships, with real driver's name and liveries that resemble the most (or are the official ones) their teams

Oh, I have a "couple" of those too. I will post a video with the custom championship I have cuz I could do 20 posts for all the championships (although I have raced in very few of them).

    Here the GTE Cars Championship:

    Cars: Corvette C7R,
I understand what you say only I wonder with how much accuracy you want to recreate these championship. I mean only cars, cars and tracks, liveries, teams, regulations... if you are thinking only to cars there is some championship that can be arranged: Gt3, Gte, Gt4 (with some compromise) Le Mans Series (partially as Lmp2 are missing), VLN, Carrera Cup, Lamborghini Supertrofeo, Ferrari Fxx Trophy, Audi Cup, Abarth 500 Trophy, BMW 1M Cup, McLaren Series, DTM 90’s, Trofeo Maserati Granturismo Gt4,and some few others. I recreated these championship and will post the less known.
Whether instead you are thinking to a very high level of championship reproduction I think it is not possible with AC as are missing tracks, liveries, comoleteness of cars, regulations, teams...
For me the major limit is also the limitation to only 16 cars on track. For instance this compromise a lot the VLN reproduction despite we have the majority of cars and tracks in the game.

Ok,so right now i can present you guys to 5 championships: A 67, 72, 1976 and 1986 seasons of F1 and 1968-1969 WSC. Note that, of course, we only have a couple of cars from that era (in some cases, only one...) so i use liveries that resemble some team and put the respective real driver on the wheel of that car.Like, red f1 cars=Ferraris. On other situations, the cars didnt really drove toghether on track, but since they are only a few years apart,i'll ignore that fact.(like the Porsche 911 3.0=early Porsches 911 from mid '60s.close enough :D)As soon as the Ferrari Pack arrives for consoles,i can add at least 3 cars to the championships. As for tracks, some we have, some we dont. When we dont,i try to put a track from the same country of the real calendar race. Some are made up: i use Highlands short as Monaco (street circuit, right?:p), Highlands as Clermont-Ferrand/Rouen Les Essarts, Highlands Long as Le Mans, and Blackcat County as any track from USA. In some cases, the nº of drivers will excceed the 16 car field; just choose a couple of ones (mind the huge loss of performance of AC when playing in Nords with more than 10 cars!)

    1967 F1 championship
    Car: Lotus 49
Race distance:10% of real life race(300km*30%=30km;30km=x laps, depending on the track)
Notes about the drivers:back then, drivers switched teams very easily, so dont be surprised if you see a driver you know from one team racing for another in my list. Some teams had more than 2 drivers (some had 4-5...),i choosed only the more important/famous

    1986 F1 Championship

The best one to recreate, because all the liveries reseamble a lot some teams, and from the 80s, f1 started to look much like the same. Too bad the calendar is not that good because some missing tracks...

Liverie nº / team / driver
11,12 / Lotus / Ayrton Senna; Johnny Dumfries

    1968/1969 World Sportscar Championship

Well, this one is two years put in one, since the GT40 and the Porsche 908 have liveries from both those years, so why the hell not? :p
As for race legenth...most endurace races were ran in 1000km.1000km spa,1000km brands hatch...so,like in f1 championships,i did the 10% rule.so,100km equals x laps in different circuits. For races with time, like 24h Le Mans, i just do a higher number of laps that the rest of the races

    Ford GT40
Livery nº / team / drivers
Gulf 6 / John Wyer / Jacky Ickx; Jackie Oliver
Gulf 7 / Jonh Wyer / David Hobbs; Mike Hailwood
Gulf 9 / John Wyer / Pedro Rodriguez; Lucien Bianchi
9 / Alan Man Racing / Frank Gardner; Malcom Guthrie

    Porsche 908
Liverie nº / team / drivers
64 / Porsche / Hans Herrmann (69 season); Gerard Larousse
33 / Porsche / Rolf Stommlen; Jochen Neerpasch
32 / Porsche / Gerhard Mitter; Vic Elford
31 / Porsche / Jo Siffert; (Hans Herrmann in 1968 season)

For multi class racing, the rest of the field is composed by Porsche 911 3.0 (a 1973 car, but whatever, looks a bit like a 911 from 1968/69 and its outclassed by the GT40/908 anyways; a Alfa Romeo GTA,to have variety on the field, and a Shelby Cobra, because this car raced in europe too. Since this 3 cars are not that important,i didnt care about drivers or teams. A Charley Rico, Luciano Molina or a Marko Badoer dude will do the job :D:D:D
    Calendar:
    Blackcat County - 10 laps; Brands Hatch - 26 laps; Monza full - 17 laps; Spa - 15 laps; Nords.Endurance - 5 laps; Highlands Long - 24 laps; Redbull Ring - 24 laps

I will try to do a 1963 f1 championship, 1970 WSC, 80's Group C, and GT3 in the next days!

oh yes, unfortunatly we cant do a 100% real championship, not a single one :( what we can do is select a couple of cars and tracks from said championship.and sometimes,in classic f1 cars,"pretend" that those cars are other cars...for me,the lotus 72 with a white/red livery is a Mclaren driven by James Hunt :D:p and of course,no regulations or whatsoever...so,its safe to say that its a rather "arcade" recreation for championships

Here down I list tthe GTE Championship which is easy to create. Sorry I did not have the impressive level of details of Hugo regarding the drivers name and team name but I only grouped the cars which competed in this class. Regarding the tracks the most important Le Mans is missing so if you like you can replace it with Highlands Long. Personally I simply miss it.
Cars: (you can recognize the GTE from GT3 because they have not abs and have super soft tyres)
Ferrari 458 GT2 (also today despite it is old car some private teams with los budget still use it in Endurance competitions)
BMW M3 GT2 (same as per Ferrari above)
    Scuderia Glickenhouse P 4/5
    Corvette C7 R
    Porsche 911 GT3 RSR 2017

    Liveries:
    Ferrari AF Corse
BMW Official, Falken, rest up to you
    Corvette: official yellow livery
    Porsche: official Porche

Tracks: (the tracks where the Endurance series are raced in reality)
    Spa 30 laps
    Silverstone GP: 32 laps
    Monza: 32 laps
    Nurburgring GP GT: 34 laps
    Brands Hatch: 34 laps
    Red Bull Ring: 34 laps
Please take note GTE races are on 24/8/6 hours but as this is not possible I used 30/34 laps to have enough long races.

If you reduce the number of GTE and add the LMP1 Porsche, Toyota and Audi you have recreated the Le Mans Series.

The escort is a '70s car,i didnt used because it was not quite from that era.sure the Porsche 911 3.0 is also from the 70s,but in its case, its an improvement of an already existing car in the '60s,unlike the escort. But if you want more variety on the field,go ahead,i did used the escort a couple of times.but i used it more for the 1970 WSC,which i maybe post today ;)

Thank you guys for having shared your configurations. As soon as possible (now I out of home) I wish to set up some championship inspired from your road cars and F1 championships.
Here down I want to share with you my VLN Championship configuration:
Preamble: VLN race only on the various configuration of the Nurburgring/Nordschleife. Normally there are 4/5 dates per year. The lower class is made by normal cars with just some light preparation and this is the characteristic of VLN. It have a very complicate class system so I list here down the main possible in AC.
    Classes & Cars:
    GT3: 911 RSR 2016 - Mercedes SLS and AMG GT3 - BMW Z4 GT3 - the rest up to you.
Audi TT VLN Cup: single car class
Porsche Carrera Cup: single car class
Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport: single car class
    BMW235 Cup: BMW 235 Racing
Toyota GT86 Cup: this car is not in the game. We have only the road version so personally I miss it.
Light Prepared Cars: i use here the BMW 1M with race liveries and eventually similar performance Cars like Lotus Exige 240R stage 3 or any other equivalent.
    Tracks/Laps:
    Nurburgring Endurance/6
    Nurburgring GP GT/25
    Nordschleife/8
    Nurburgring Endurance Cup/6

The real issue with the reproduction of VLN is the very limited number of cars AC permit on track.

You inspired me to improve the details of some Champioship like in the case of GT3, WEC and others. When I will complete them I will share them.
