well the lotus GT4 is in the game as is the KTM XBOW. the VLN and sport cup audi TTs are coming which are pretty damn close to GT4, Toyota GT86 GT4 is coming, maserati license is also coming which likely adds the GT4 cars due to the potential of teams being able to use ACPRO for practising.

 

Sounds good! Could you please explain what ACPRO means as I'm not familiar with that term?

 

its the version for the professional teams to use, from what i understand it is very similar but has some bespoke attachments to it.

WRC cars (escort cosworth , Evo 6 , vw polo 2016 )

And race cars in general

As you are on the xbox im a little curious, what is the multiplayer racing like on forza, is it a warzone or peaceful or track cutting etc.

 

Forza is utter chaos and track limits are terrible that's the long and short of it to be honest, forza has the potential of being brilliant but with all the kids and idiots online in public lobbies it's always carnage and a lot of the good tracks has massive cuts that can be made to save time and are still clean! So it's not learning tracks it's learning cuts :-(

On the upside of forza though I set up a clean racing website

With four of my online racing buddies and we have gathered up a lot of fellow clans and racers who prefer to race properly Example atleast 2 wheels on track at all times no bumping patience in turns etc

The results are great we have team v team racing , we also hold leagues , cups and handicap cups (to allow slower drivers a chance to keep up or win!) we do it for free as we love to race and I pay for the website lol

The clean racing when you find groups away from public lobbies is amazing its defo the best in game racing I have ever been part of .

There are people from litterally number one on the leaderboards from all classes to people who are only making top1% by the skin of their teeth and we keep that up to date by doing weekly rivals challenges too .

I want to open the website up to asseto corsa too so if your wanting to race clean fair and and against some of the very best from forza atleast then come check us out and msg me on Xbox live so I know your from assettocorsa.net and we can hopefully have you as part of our ac racing when the time comes.

Hmm thats surprisingly similar to AC's online before they added the minorating system. Great that you have a league sort of system going, racing with people you know you can trust when truely going all out. I'll have to find out if my T300 works with the xbox one first, not sure if it does. Its probably best to have a league system open at the game launches as the new game nooblets(people that arent used to the physics yet) will be all over the place.

Also it will be nice to see if you can challenge our leaderboard times

 

Yea defo will be interest to see if people who are fast on forza will be fast on assetto too.

I am really looking forward to it as it has free practice and qualy options I believe as these options are hard to make work on forza as you need to apply ghosting for them to work ! And that's not real sim

We always race full some damage etc with mandatory pit stops and especially in touring cars it makes it more tactical too

I have seen a few videos of ac on YouTube and really can't wait for it

If our group posts for ac it's a certainty that there will be clean racers available for you's online anyway

Think a lot of people say the tx wheel is best on Xbox one.

 

I also hope their support via assetto corsa.net is a lot better than that of forza.net I have been banned from their so many times it's disgusting for asking them to fix their racing sims track boundaries etc but they are not interested in good racers :-( what do you think of assettos track limits on the copy ?

 

They are strict, I only watch WEC and TUSCC but in them you have to have all four wheels out of the white lines to get in trouble(tbh in the TUSCC they dont care).

In AC you can sometimes get inflicted a pretty harsh penalty when only two wheels are out of the lines, some people think its too strict. Generally it doesnt happen if you go off on astroturf which is dotted around some of the tracks. Its quite nice that you can pick when you want to do your penality but you have to do it in the lap which went off in.

Generally the penalty can be done in two ways, slow down to X speed or go off throttle for between 5-10seconds(i believe if you are a complete nutter eg skipping T1 chicane at monza then the penalty is more harsh as you would gain around 15 seconds from that). Most tracks have a chicane at some point so you should be able to go off throttle without losing crazy amounts of time such as final corner at SPA.

A few people think its a penalty for cutting the track but in AC its just track limits penalties but you dont get warnings, it just goes straight to penalty the first time you mess up. On a bad day it can be salt in the wound. I've lost many podiums because of it but its harshness works.

 

Yea sounds great tbh lol that you can do it when you want to on that lap too but forza has no penalties at all which is crazy instead they put up tire walls that when you hit them your car us proper knackered :-(

Its a little outdated but thats about everything.

 

NASCAR and INDYCAR ... or atleast 1-2 oval tracks and some stock car and an open wheel car, not licensed necessarily. i saw that Monza Oval is already in the game, but i never played on it in a game.

 

The historic Monza layout we're getting isn't really an oval, more like a road course with a couple of high banked corners.

Unfortunately Stefano has said no to ovals iirc. Too much specific AI coding required, mainly rolling starts arent implemented for road courses and it doesn't look like they'll be added any time soon.

 

they can build an oval just for online multiplayer. i'm thinking of passing this game if there is no ovals in it, atleast one. i dont care if it's licensed or not. could be even a fictious oval track. i'll stay with GT Sports then ...

In particular the DTM V8 Quattro would be good as AC already has the GP A DTM BMW M3, Merc 190E and Alfa 155.
