1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Generic Weekly Hotlap #28 - The International Trophy

Welcome to the thread for Weekly Hotlap #28 - The International Trophy

    The Challenge.
    Car: Maserati 250F T2 12C
    Track: Silverstone 1967

A bit of a slimmed down OP this week as I haven't seen my PS4 for a while! The International Trophy was a non championship F1/F2 race held at Silverstone for a number of years.

Updates might be sporadic this week, apologies in advance!

    The Rules.
    Time of day: Free
    Ambient Temp: 26 Degrees
    Setup: Free
    Controller: Free
    Assists: Factory
    Stability:Free
Penalties: On <--- Only applicable to Practice mode.

If it isn't mentioned here then assume the setting is free.

Please make sure you have the ambient temperature set correctly, I really don't like disallowing times!

    The Deadline.
    Sunday April 30th - 22:00 BST (GMT+1)

    How to take part!
To enter simply head into the game select Drive > Hotlap / Practice choose the Maserati 250F T2 12C and head to Silverstone 1967. Make sure you setup the session using the settings detailed in this thread and hit the track!

You can run as many laps as you like and update your times as often as you like, its simple :) All Platforms are welcome, it is all about having fun and enjoying Assetto Corsa.

To submit a time, pause the game and select 'session' from the menu and screenshot this page or take a photo of your screen and post it in this thread - Note all the information from the screen is required including temperature.

Feel free to post video clips and share information in here as well, but without the session screen your time will not be included (placing the session screen in a video clip is acceptable).

You also need to state the time and your platform in the body of your post, this should be the first thing you do, the image should then be placed below the text. It would also be helpful to mark updated times with Improvement. This makes collating the results much easier.

    Code:
    Time - Platform

    Image / Video

    Chit Chat
A leader board will be collated on a daily basis to keep everyone up to date on where they currently stand...Unfortunately editing of posts gets locked on this forum so this post will not be updated.

Feel free to use the unofficial leader board but remember you still need to include the session screen in this thread to be included in the results.

Good luck and have fun ;)

Brilliant combo! Will need to make some time this week to post. Balancing on throttle through the final bend will bring a few smiles this week....

An aluminum tub with bicycle wheels powered by an aircraft engine? Those guys were nuts. I can also tell you from first hand experience that those hay bales linining the circuit are most unforgiving.

Nice! The one car I couldn't figure out how to drive out of all the cars I've driven. I thought the Yellowbird was bad, but my first experience with this was even further south... haha

Yeah 250F's need special driving style. The regular, brake in straight line> coast and turn>throttle on the exit won't work. Here's a replay with the 6C version @ Mugello that we raced couple of weeks ago. It's too sideways at times and not a perfect lap, but should give you some idea about it. Hope you don't mind. ;)

To keep it more on topic, 40 psi hot is the optimal pressure. Not sure if that applies to consoles too.

Nice! The braking was what I couldn't figure out at the time especially (probably months ago) and also how much angle the car was supposed to be sliding with through corners. Tried it on Nurburging GP and Mugello, I believe. I remember taking my hands off the wheel midway through the main straights on both occasions and having to regrip right away in order to not veer off to either side. Freakin' scary as heck, but we'll see this time! Should be more bearable and definitely more animated than the 98T experience was for me a few weeks back.

Would like to set a time right now, but 1AM's not a good time to be banging around my shifter, getting amused, and/or saying things I wouldn't say in public.

This reminds me of Grand Prix Legends, the other sim that left me a really good vibe on the racing experience, despite the steep learning curve....back in the days took me about 2 years before getting competitive, also if my aim is mainly enjoy driving... well AC takes surely less than 2 years to get accustomed to and these weekly hotlaps help get into deeper appreciation ... so thumbs up for the choice! Cheers

1:50 low so far. I'll post a screenshot when I got a 1:49 (or better). Hopefully later today.
Real fun in combination with the shifter. Still playing around with the gears and ratio. Not that I know what I'm doing...

Where in the setup screen is the option to add wider tires and aero? Can't find it for the life of me. Surely they didn't actually drive these like this in real life. There aren't enough haybales in the world to keep us all safe.

So if that's not the correct way to drive these, any top tips? I've found changing up early helps as the torque generated higher in the rev band starts the back end swinging even on the straights. Next stop Mr Hay Bale.....

Sod the time, success is a clean lap! I only realised it had five gears on lap 6. Tricky car to learn the circuit with too:D. I adjusted the transmission, so short 3rd and 4th are predominant, lowered the back and stiffened all round, handling is improved, but its still as difficult as herding cats!
The challenge is a good call from afar!

I don't know what I'm doing, but I could do it all day, this car is so fun.
I should bring it to the Nordschleife, just to figure out how much Fangio and his friends were crazy.
