Tracks for PS4 - Pikes Peak

Hi I'm new to the forum, I just downloaded Assetto on my PS4 as I need to learn Pikes Peak (aiming to race there for real!) how do I download this track please?

I know it's available on the PC (I only have a MacBook...) so really hoping it's available on PS4, somehow...

Imma try to use this but my friend you can not drive pikes peak on assetto corsa... But if you purchase dirt rally then you could practice all day I too love pikes peak it is my favorite track next to Laguna seca...

 

No it not available... It is availabe for the PC as a MOD track. Not as official content. So no it wont be out for PS4 or Xbone.

 

But it's just as good on dirt rally

Oh noooo.... I've got Dirt Rally but I drove PP this year (in real life) and while the corners look pretty good, the distance between them isn't often inaccurate.

I was chatting with a driver there who said he's used Assetto and said it was super accurate as it's GPS mapped, but maybe he had it on PC... bugger, really don't want to have to fork out for one

 

AC won't be able to officially release Pikes Peak. Gran Turismo has exclusive rights to the "track" (search google for news)... which is why it couldn't appear in DiRT 4 (or Project CARS 2, etc).

 

Ok of course, because Gran Turismo sponsor PPIHC... ahaaaa

So I guess the new Gran Turismo game will be the one to buy when it comes out later this year... bugger that means I'll need to employ a 12 year old to come round and play it while I'm at work so I can unlock PPIHC :/

 

Don't get your hopes up, it doesn't even seam to be in GTS.

 

Even though it hasn't been officially confirmed to be in GTS, it would be very strange to pay for the exclusive rights and not include it.

I agree, but on the other hand it would be a stupid addition to GTS with its new sport focus. As mentioned above Seb Loeb has PPHC too but with the added addition that you can drive any car on it unlike the 3 cars in DR.

 

Stupid or not they paid for it so I fully expect them to use it. Sport mode is only one part of GTS, there will still be a traditional online mode, arcade mode, and some sort of career mode as well.

 

Ok but how will pikes peak work in traditional online? Goodward was not available online in GT6. There is no real career mode in GTS. So with so few tracks in GTS, PPHC would be a stupid addition but that's no more stupid than having two ovals and only having GT3 races on them, so you never know with PDI.

They've yet to show any PPHC footage or mention it so it's anyone's guess right now whether it will be in. For GT6 they showed Seattle circuit but it never made it into the game. So I wouldn't expect anything from PDI in till you see it with your own eyes. Kaz has even claimed GTS will not drop a single feature from previous games and have more feature than any previous GT. I do not believe him in the slightest.

 

I'm glad you brought up Goodwood because that is exactly how I see them using PPHC. A poorly implemented, over-hyped feature that most people will use once or twice and never think about again. A shame really, but that has been their MO with these types of things. Look at NASCAR or WRC from previous GT games. Only two tracks from the NASCAR schedule and not a single rally stage, just some circuits that are dirt instead of asphalt. As for not believing anything Kaz says, I couldn't agree more. We were told about a 7 point (I think) suspension rig that would help us to make set ups and balance the car before going to the track. Never happened. The track maker was years behind the release of the game and was a complete joke when it did arrive. As for Seattle it cost them nothing in terms of licensing fees so not a big deal as far as their bottom line is concerned not to include it.

 

Totally agree, I was really surprised to find that the top gear track was just that. They said that we could relive Ayrton Senna's career in GT6, just lol at his career if GT6 is representative. I only bought GT6 for the track maker as I was disappointed with GT5, what shambles that turned out to be.

I feel like they have added ovals to GTS just because they were quicker to model and boost the track number up, GT3's on those tracks must be incredibly boring.

 

I haven't driven much ovals on racing games neither I watch a lot of indy or nascar, but seems to me that the fun of an oval is on low drag cars (indy cars have no aerodynamics compared to other open wheelers or the same indy cars on road tracks) or cars with not much grip.

The guy who thought LMP1/GT3 cars on an oval would be a good idea must be shooted.

 

I thought GT5 was pants, but I did enjoy it. In particular I really enjoyed NASCAR online racing on Daytona with a full grid. Really great fun, but that was in NASCARS.

I don't believe anyone thought LMP1/GT3 was a good idea on ovals. I honestly believe they were added to pad the track last be a they could be built much quicker. Some of the 17 (19?) tracks in GTS are simply pathetic.

 

I'm still hoping Monaco GP will come to AC on PS4 one day. Until then i'll keep dreaming.

 

Same here, not great for racing fast cars but I love it and its good for racing slow cars.
