1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Benchmark results, food for thought

    Hello,

how is the FX performance with 24-36Al 100% in low graphics settings(at start of a race) and in multiplayer nordschleife full server. May by it is time for some upgrade if >90fps is possible in this scenarios.

    TY

It is fine for me but I play with vsync so 60 FPS max. It is 40-50 on start when all cars visible but after when they spread more it is stable 60 frames.
Tried without Vsync - seems to be CPU is bottleneck in this case so 100-110 FPS and 92-95% CPU in Performance Display app.

Again, if you're already running AA 4X, do yourself a favor and disable FXAA on top of it (last option on the effects settings). It'll only blur your image (mostly on cockpit dials and dash maps), and take away any sharpness on distant objects.
IMHO running FXXA over a light AA is great when you're under-powered gpu-wise, but over something decent as 4X will only degrade the image quality.

I have been leaving FXAA on just for benchmarking so it is more standardized. It's hard enough to compare cards when people lower the smoke, and change the different Post Processing settings. Even if people use full max settings, we still have to deal with different CPUs. So less variables the better, IMO.

So I pushed through the updated for win10 to the creators edition. As i didnt want it to auto download just before race night or during race. These are the settings I use day to day, not the show and shine settings.

here are my results. Take what you want out of em.

Are you sure you are on the creators edition (the was a big update to the 1607 version recently)? You should see a toggle for gamer mode... In the settings section. If you don't see that then you don't have creators edition.

I lost about 10FPS and even more with gamer mode on. It hosed up the Nvidia driver so I had to do a clean driver install too. I turned gamer mode off.

Yer man on creators, game toggle there.

Like I said take from it what you will. I wouldn't have thought a jump like tahr that.

But I did a bench just before updating and just after. There results where boot then test.

Did you really activate game mode?
The slider does nothing without further actions, unless the game is supported and you see the game bar at game start.

    You need to

    1. Launch your game of choice. Windows 10 will prompt you to open Game bar using Windows key + G combination. If it doesn’t, the game doesn’t have support currently.
    2. Press Windows key + G, or hit the Xbox button on your gamepad.
    3. Click the Settings icon to the extreme right on the Game bar.
    4. In the dialog box that opens, check the box for Use Game Mode for this game.

If it doesn't pop, it just means that the game bar overlay fails, not that you can't enable game mode or that it isn't supported for a specific exe. Just temporarily switch to windowed mode so you can see the game bar, set the game (in this case while running under acs.exe, not launcher.exe) to use game mode if you care for it.

    Wow!
After posting that benchmark above, I noticed that my AC install was running (x86) compared to everybody else.

Note I'm running the game at 8X AA.

I did notice the CPU core usage was rather peculiar with gamer mode on. 26 911 RSR grid at Monza Multi-player. Core 1 was no longer reported as fully used w/ gamer mode on...instead I got some of the other cores doing some heavy lifting. upload_2017-4-15_17-23-7.png

No game mode for AC wasn't enabled. Was just a comparison between updates. But now I'll do another two, one b4 again and another after I toggle it on. Thx for the info.
