1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

XB1 Fanatec CSW 2.5 super heavy “center spring”

Hi community. So I wanted to give AC a try yesterday after I have been absent for 2 months and the game became unplayable after the last update. The last time I played I had FW317 on the wheel and it felt awesome. Right amount of FFB, the wheel self steered when drifting and it was nice and tight around the center. Now after the last game update the wheel

    - takes super human strength to turn beyond 45 degrees
    - self centers immediately but won’t self steer

Turning down FFB both on the wheel an in the game doesn’t change anything. I tried uninstalling and then reinstalling it but that didn’t work either.

Does anyone have the same issue? And is there a fix maybe? I could not find anything on the forum.

Thank you for your help and happy racing,
    Hendrik

I have this "problem" with my G29 and before with the T150 ... it´s really hard to steer (feels very stiff) ... don´t know ... we can just hope the next update (which brings lot of bugfixes) fixes this..

You can employ less resistance by using a higher Dri setting in the tuning menu :) It's an artificial fix, but it could improve the feel, make it handle less like an old F1 car than it does now.

Haha! I like the analogy . Will give that a try even though I am pretty sure I have DRI turned up all the way to five . Anyway. I will let you know how it worked out.

Ah ok, I thought you might have had it at 0, which is pretty smooth and free-spinning on a v2.5....I hope Kunos fixes the issue for everyone. You also might check the assettocorsa.ini file and check the top of the file for dampening values...but I don't know if the console version of the game has access to such files.
