Ferrari 458 gt2 standard or paddle shifters?

It looks like from the in car animation that its using a manual gearbox, but when I try to shift using my logitech G27 h-shifter, that its not responding, only the paddle shifter works.

 

Gt Car's are always Paddle shifted.

It's a sequential shifter He needs to push and pull it to shift, it's not a h-pattern gearbox in a ferrari 458 gt2 ofcourse

 

So how can I do this with a G27? Theres no sequential shifter, and paddles wouldn't be right because obviously the car has no paddles.

 

You can't do it with the g27 unless you do this Or you can buy a sequential shifter.

 

Just use paddles on the wheel. unless you want to increase immersion. There's no advantage in having a sequential stick.
AFAIK, the stick in GT2 cars is a histoical thing, they are not allowed to use paddles (as opposed to GT3 class).

 

No advantage but more immersion.

 

If you don't have a sequential shifter, then use the paddles. Simple. I only have a joystick to use with my flight simulator, but it doesn't stop me flying Boeings.

 

GT2 is an outdated class that is now GTE. GT2 cars used sequential shifters (Assetto Corsa has GT2 cars) while GTE are paddle shifted. Otherwise they are very similar. Assetto has the current GT3 cars, but the GT2 cars are outdated. The M3 isn't even run as a GTE car anymore and was replaced with a Z4 variant. The 458 is run as a GTE car, but it is the oldest model of the GTE cars.
