Them posting an article about it may have been the first, but people were already discussing it on the forums or connected the dots after kunos devs posted pictures of them going/being in Los Angeles where E3 2015 was taking place at the same time.
IF PRC would have posted before those LA pictures, then they would receive credit, but common people already knew/suspected publicly about it before their article was posted, as Kunos left cues in that direction through social media.

You guys keeping mentioning PRC now and then here and on RD is the main reason that I check that website and contribute to their daily visits against my own will

 

So, who is PRC bashing and hating these days? Pcars, Iracing, anything Codemasters or AC? Or it's the time for their special appearance of hate on AMS, rFactor and R3E?

 

they have/had an article speculating turn10 is going to acquire kunos. provided kunos signed a contract to their liking (retaining some kind of control over the full simulation model for example), it could be pretty damn interesting...kunos imports their tire model & work on choice cars, a suddenly huge library of hi-fi (laserscanned?) tracks....nothing i was disappointed by certainly. but it seems not to be the case.

Ok, seriously, the whole idea of acquiring Kunos when Turn 10 is doing roughly the same thing sounds ridiculous to me. Why would Turn 10 and Microsoft want Kunos when they have a studio making sim ish racing game? if they want a high fidelity racing game like AC, then, they just need to invest more money into their simulation model or improve the way they are building their cars. I highly doubt that a 200+ team does not have a handful of programmers that could improve their simulation model until they need Lord Stefano and Lord Aris to save them.

as for the Turn10 thing, yep it makes no sense,
although I could see then HIRE Kunos to do something for their franchise, .. but even that doesn't make sense, since their games are very different market then what Kunos is doing

 

so in other words, if they want to make something like AC (or have an AC-fidelity option available), they'd need to spend more money...so why not go straight to the source? as you note, the two companies are doing roughly the same thing, fidelity & amount of content aside...a 'perfect' merger would create a roided up racing title that combines the mass appeal, car & track lists of forza with simulation level driving options &, presumably, better fidelity with racing wheels available to those that want it. what does the consumer lose (in this ideal scenario?). the only thing i can think of is mod support. obviously thats huge to the AC base, but i dont see how its integral to kunos' philosophy.

 

Turn 10 could buy license to use source code for physics engine from Kunos. If memory serves me right shift and project cars uses ISI engine.

Anyways this is getting way way out of topic.

PRC site is place to go and laugh its nothing but throw shiit on the wall until it sticks nonsense.
