1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Hi everyone, since playing ac and others, and then after using my psvr (dirt rally)I am finding it difficult to go back to using the Tv for ac. My wife has got me a pc for our anniversary (in June ) and I am very much hoping that I can get back into ac on pc with my psvr HMD. I have heard that I can use trinus to do this? Does anybody else do this? I am very much hoping that this is possible and I would appreciate any help from anybody that would be able to help me in achieving this, because I absolutely love this game and I am desperate to be able to play ac in vr and I am hoping that this will improve my game. Sorry for the long winded question, can I please get any advice on this matter? Many thanks
    Paul

Personally, I'd sell the PSVR and buy a PC VR setup. The reason is that the PSVR made several compromises to meet the console market price point. Arstechnica has a nice comparison here. It's pretty unbiased, and shows the specs for each:

    https://arstechnica.com/gaming/2016/10/best-vr-headset-2016-psvr-rift-vive/

Any time you start using a device for an "unsupported" purpose, you increase the potential for issues. PC gaming has enough headaches on its own (driver updates, OS updates, etc). I would aim to simplify wherever possible.

Thankyou, but I don't think I'll have much chance of getting a vive/rift after the performance I made about needing a psvr HMD , well not yet anyway. But I will look into seeing what the psvr is worth second hand if I run into trouble with it on the pc. I am just hoping that it will work good enough to satisfy me. Fingers crossed eh?

Trouble is, I don't know anything about pc's yet, and I'm scared of the great big can of worms I'm going to be opening, by trying to get a good experience from this venture. I hope it is going to be worth the trouble? Because I'm sure there is going to be some.

Haha, yeah. Getting approval from the budgetary committee is always the first step :) I'm currently looking to replace my busted T3PA pedals with a set of Fanatec Clubsport Pedals v3 + CPX Adapter. Which is informative, as I'm violating some of my own advice (keep it simple) lol.

I wouldn't sweat the PC hassle too much. It's mostly about patience. Too many people try to shortcut. Sometimes with a gaming PC, you just need to start from scratch: reinstall the OS and build it up fresh. Other times, it's simpler: you just need to update software and drivers. As long as you have decent components from companies that test their drivers and keep them up-to-date, you'll be fine. It's when you get to digging in the discount bin and have components from a manufacturer who doesn't test, and never updates that you get in to trouble.

Well as long as I can get some much appreciated helpful advise from some of you lovely chaps on here , if needed, I am not so scared. I've been on you tube, and seen some convincing clips about trinus and other programs about using psvr on pc, and it seems ok to me? But , what do I know? (Not a lot, that's the problem)

If the VR thing doesnt work out, PC AC is still worth it for the mods. the multiplayer and the mods. Oh and also the mods.

Assetto is much better on pc! Do what ever you have to do to get vr working it really is awesome for sim racing, psvr can be made work so you should have no problem, your pc judging by price should have enough power so you're good to go!!
You can always upgrade your HMD in the future, I'm already saving for rift cv2 or whatever model comes next!
If you like the vr experience it's a no brainer to move to pc..

I'm definitely hooked, after drive club then dirt rally vr, now I can't go back to the flat screen. I quite fancy flight sims too after some x wing battlefront experience on psvr
