1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Generic Help With Racing Wheels

Hey I'm fairly new to the racing genre, but I've quite quickly found myself having a lot of fun with it.
Right now I only really play Forza Horizon 3 (not a super sim game I know), but I'd like to get a wheel and expand out into other more "realistic" games.
Figured coming here would be a good place to start because from what I remember this is a pretty sim game and I figured you guys would know a lot about racing wheels and such.

I was going to get a Logitech G920 but per this thread:
    https://www.assettocorsa.net/forum/index.php?threads/tmx-or-g920.37221/
I have decided against it in favor of a Thrustmaster wheel (unless someone has a convincing argument for the G920 :^).)

Even though they seem to have quality issues (per the thread) Thrustmaster also have very good customer support (per the thread again).

So I've come to you lovely people to find out what a good thrustmaster wheel is, as I know almost nothing about racing wheels. Seeing as I was going for the G920 something with a similar price to that.

Thanks for any help/advice you can provide!
    Cheers.

I think the t300 is supposed to be the equivalent TM wheel, but the G29/G920 seem to be a fair bit cheaper than the t300 now

Never tried a thrustmaster wheel myself, but i have a G29 and its a pretty solid wheel, especially since its now £150/€190

I've had nothing to complain about with my thrustmaster, but I've never compared it to anything else? So sorry, I suppose I can't help much?

    Hey, anything helps!
Right now I'm looking at the TX Leather Edition just because it comes with the T3PA pedal set, which, from my research (and by that I mean watching review videos on youtube) seems to be almost required because the default pedal set that comes with the regular TX wheel (the 2 pedal) is quite shoddy, well not shoddy, but not great.

Even though it's my first real foray into racing at all (outside of things like burnout paradise) I'd like to buy a nice wheel so it lasts me a while.

    We'll see how it goes.

As much as I'd like to spend 600 CAD on a racing wheel, I'll have to of course, take a reality check at some point and see if I can actually find the money in my budget for that haha.

Of course there's always the T300 or cheaper options!

I'm not on console, so I might be wrong here, but IIRC the TM TX is only XBone compatible, the T300 only for PS4.

The T300 Alcantara Edition comes with the 599XX wheel and T3PA pedals if you need a PS compatible wheel.

I'm actually on PC. So I don't really think it matters too much. I forgot to mention that in the OP because I was under the impression Assetto Corsa was a PC exclusive game, so most of the people here would be familiar with PC stuff.

OK, this thread is in the Console part of the forum.

On PC you are of course open for more options.

Ah that could be an issue.
I didn't see the big flashy part that said "CONSOLE VERSION" at the top when I came here funnily enough.

My T300rs has lasted me 2 maybe 3 years?

@Jerakl I suggest to go for a TM T300 or one of the derivatives. I had a DFGT, a G27 (G29 is a G27, mechanically) and now have a T500RS, which is a great wheel.

    At a friend's place I tested his T300 and it's better than the T500RS.

Get at least the T3PA pedals, though.

If it works on PC I'll check out the T300 for sure.
As a sidenote though, I think the TX Leather is about the same price as if I bought the T300rs with the T3pa pedal set.
I actually didn't notice this was the console part of the forum as I thought Assetto Corsa was only on PC, so I just scrolled through the forum until I saw "wheel discussion" and was like "hey that's where I wanna be!".

How would I go about tagging a forum mod/admin to have the correct subforum?

No soft lock on PS4. Thrustmaster T300 GT edition.
There is a big problem with super cars cuz there are giant dead zones. In game wheel make full rotation but real wheel still could turn for maybe 200 degrees each side.
    Am I right?

Suggest you get the 599 rim as it's 300 diameter whereas the standard and leather editions are only 280
