1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Suggestion for a league format from a league I raced in back in GPL:

Allocate a certain amount of "credits" for each driver participating in the league. These credits can then be used to "buy" available cars. Example:

    A driver gets 20 credits a season.
Available cars are Fiat Abarth, Alfa Romeo 4C and Ford Escort RS1600
Fiat Abarth costs 1 credit to use per race.
Alfa Romeo 4C costs 2 credits to use per race.
Ford Escort RS1600 costs 3 credits to race.

Each driver will then have to figure out how to best dispose of their credits during a season and depending on what tracks are to be raced. Maybe I'll lousy in the 4C at Imola, but know I can chuck out some decent times in the Abarth on this track...so here I got for Abarth and save the credit to use on the 4C at track where I have more confidence in it...for other players it might be vice versa...

I found I could race some "faster guys" in GPL when they had run out of credits and couldnt use the Lotus 49 anymore and had to resort to the BRM for the last few races and I had "saved" enough credits to use the Ferrari towards the end where the tracks favored me (for the record I won that season \o/ )

    Just an idea...

An interesting theme on the credits.

I really would like to make this a team championship. So two titles to be won. Drivers and Team. I found with the TPG leagues that the team element really made it enjoyable.

  5. Team Championship sounds like a good idea, but I can guarantee one thing.....there will not be any team orders obeyed in Mogget's garage ;)

Abarth 500 AC and Mazda MX5 Cup with BTCC race format and success ballast (although, maybe 2 races rather than 3)... that's a league I would join!!

How do the two compare in regards to laptimes?

nip and tuck, tracks with more straights the 500 is faster (e.g Spa) smaller circuits (all national layouts for example) MX5 is faster. They can be balanced with max 50kg or a bit more plus restrictor if you want to bring their straight line and corner speeds closer by adding ballast to the slower mx5 and restrictor to the faster abarth but better to ignore all of that and do qualifying ballast and reverse grid and race 1 ballast for race 2. I proposed it before but didnt get enough interest.

E30 S1 and AE86 Tuned would also make a good low end club style series. Toyota needs permanent 5x% restrictor though.

  10. That's one of the good points of single make races......no restrictor or ballast required. Drive and enjoy the cars as they are meant to be enjoyed ;)

    Exactly.

We should stick to the KISS Principle.

    K - Keep
    I - It
    S - Simple
    S - Stupid

Not entirely true, that singlemake makes restrictions redundant, it really depends on the diversity of player skill.

I'm working on an Audi TT cup season, with a simple ballast/restrictor system already made in google sheets. If drivers come too much apart, restrictor plate will kick in first. It adds roughly a maximum of 1% to the laptime, that's 1sec for a 1:40 lap, on 100% restrictor, without messing with the handling. If the spread in the grid from alien to rookie is even further, ballast will kick in on the fastest drivers, if restrictor plate isn't enough. Likewise, the whole grid will recieve a percentage restrictor/ballast relative to the average grid fastest racelap (a drivers best potential lap).
Other than that, I plan on using similar race formats and points as the real current 2017 TT cup championship. And, to cater teams and driver motivation, team can hire reserves that can score points for the team in absence of the permanent driver(s). Nothing is more demotivating than falling behind in the season because you're forced to skip a race or 2 (work, family issues, pc-meltdown etc). I have more stuff being planned, all to get drivers motivated to stick through the season.

I like the idea, especially with different cars close in performance. Some might be faster in FWD, others might prefer RWD. Success ballast is a given though, it works wonders with BTCC. We have inverted grid also, which can spice things up too. Did I say that I love BTCC race format :p

Seriously, I'd give everything to have a good league running these kind of races with a good bunch of people. Not even mentioning all the great mod tracks that could be used.

Choosing the car/s is the hardest part. We need something with a bit of pace. That's easy to drive but also hard to master. I'd like to see more than one car type. But I would like the base car's to be as close as possible without the need or restrictors/weight.

That way we could use the Ballast properly like the BTCC does.

sign me up for a bttc style league!
and if having awesome nip and tuck racing means i've got to have a fat guy stuffed in the boot, so be it.

    Not close enough

Mathieu I love the idea of a BTCC style race as well. The original idea was to make teams like the BTCC so I made Handy Motorsport liveries for the Abarth :D I much prefer multicar grids with the differences and back and forth racing it can provide when done well. MX5 Cup and Abarth 500 AC is tried and tested, the Abarth is great at Thruxton!! (and many other tracks also) sign me up with the Abarth! :p

I'd be all over the Abarth as well, much more interesting than the mx5 for me. But I bet many would love the MX5 more. No doubt about Thruxton, I also had in mind Croft, LuccaRing (never saw this one online, could be amazing with a group of good drivers), Donington, etc, etc...

We could even add points for leading a lap and setting the fastest lap of the race like they do IRL too, I believe it would be somewhat easy with stracker.

As usual, my timezone sucks but if I can be of any help for the project, I'll be glad to help :)
