1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Suggestion: BoP and partially fixed setups

    Hi,

I thought about how a BoP system could be implemented, don't know if KS already have something in place, but here's the idea:
You could add engine intake restrictor size and ballast weight as car setup options. Then have the server admin select a setup for each car and specify which setup options are adjustable by the client. In this case restrictor and weight obviously not adjustable.
This would kill two birds with one stone, we could have a server side BoP system and fixed setups, which seem to be very popular in iRacing. I know, not so much by the hardcore crowd, but in the end you can always make your own server with other settings.
On top of that we would also get "partially fixed setups" which I think would be a very good compromise between having to spend a lot of time to test all the different configurations and still allow basic balance adjustments for your driving style. This would also provide a countermeasure to possible setup exploits, just disallow changing this option. Hopefully there aren't any exploits, but in the end I've always read complains in any sim about certain setup values being unrealistically fast.

This system could bring cars closer together and, if desired, make setups an even smaller factor, providing closer races and more fun for everyone.

Hope to see you on track soon :)

I did ask Aris about this a little while ago and he said that they will implement something like balast etc.

I don't see fixed setups as a good idea. Some guys are super fast with default setups. I'm not even nearly that fast with my setups.

But weight penalty could be nice for online leagues.

Yeah i dont like the fixed setups and stay away from them in iRacing, but the rest is great.

Fixed set-ups are OK, but less needed in AC as the cars are less set-up dependent than those slippery sims, also you can play with the less powerful road cars if you want less set-up options. However I can see the argument for some casual gamers that want a level playing field with hyper-cars on some servers, as long as they are clearly labelled, I can't see a problem.

Fixed setup is really great for public servers.

I was about to create a post asking for this, to have a option to fix the setup, so no one could change it except tyre type and fuel.

It would be perfect if you could choose in your server the settings to block.

Is a very important feature for people without setting knowledge to race in equal conditions and to introduce people in assetto corsa.

There are also fast people racing in the leagues without time to make a good setup and this would be perfect

Forced pit stop with max fuel limitation...awesome. Even though a simple boolean “has_done_pitstop” would also do the trick ;-)

Either way – this will bring so much life and strategy to a race if you need to pit in once during a 7 lap race...awesome!

u can do it already with single car using the fuel % server side e.g 350% but it doesnt really work with multiple car types as the fuel tank and usage can vary so much car to car
