1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Before I spent money on the second edition of Project Cars, I need to know if the landmines have been fixed, the force feedback buzz has been fixed, premium DLC will work correctly, oh and nothing invisible is left lying around the track! :mad:o_O

I thinks this will be what most people who bought the first one will be doing. Preorder no chance, if it gets good reviews of people who have bought it after release, I will definitely be getting it. It can't release like the original one can it ? Omg no.

This thread is called "The Future" and the future for any passionate sim racer has got to be AC.

I'm a bit tired of discussions on bling bling features like half-assed rain implementation and what not...I'm a really laid back "whatever floats your boat" kind of person but show me the f*cking sim racing title where - with good reason - you can discuss complex topics with the developers and maybe have them change the code for the better.

GTS and pCars2: apart from track and car galore they don't have sh*t.

And no, I'm no hater or AC fanboy. If pCars2 is good, I'll buy it.

    Not a fanboy Hmmmmm !
For all it's bugs and issues at launch, pCARS was actually rather good. After the major game breaking bugs were squashed it's a solid game. OK, it's physics and FFB could be a bit on the arcade side with some cars, but there is a huge community sharing settings and setups to iron them out.
AC's physics and FFB is near enough perfect straight out the box, of this there's no dispute. However, as a racing simulator, it does lack the most basic of features such as your own lap times not being recorded (never mind global leaderboards), any form of calibration for the different wheel / pedal combo's that people use and, upto now at least, the lack of custom online play.
As for GT Sport (I'm in the beta trail BTW), PD needs to look towards the likes of pCARS and AC before they even think about launching it, it's that poor ATM.
So you see, I'm no fanboy either, I get frustrated equally by any game that fails to deliver what it promises, or gives me a poor overall experience !

You got to remember though that we're on console, we're missing most sim bits, we have performance issues and we don't have the same level of contact with devs as the pc side has. Plus the bits ac is missing on pc, the mods have sorted out.
I would agree with you if your on pc and serious about sim racing all is good, but if your on console and like the sim racing aspect which I do, but also enjoy the online social side of racing, beating mates hot lap times and all that sort of stuff, A/C is seriously lacking in options at the present time. It dosn't stop me enjoying what we have but it doesn't stop me playing other racing sims, because the other sim on console has all the sim features that assetto has on the pc.
Hopefully our next update will sort a lot of the missing features out.

I agree. Sorry, my post really didn't consider the current discrepancies. I kind of assumed that Kunos will get the console versions to where they should be. If you re-read my post under that assumption you might agree ;-)

But after so much hyping for GTS and the huge disappointment from insiders I had to vent a little.
Now when I read the sneaky hype posts regarding pCars 2...it's the same thing. It really surprised me how someone stated that it feels like RaceRoom and thought this is a good thing. As nice of a game as RaceRoom may be - the physics and FFB is orders of magnitude below AC.

So if pCars 2 turns out as I expect it to, there really is no other title than AC in reach if you seek realism above anything else.
Plus, the features on the PC have come along very, very nicely and I really hope that it all spills over to the consoles.
I don't know how closely you follow the PC side but there is so much stuff being added with no big fuzz. False starts, pit strategy through the D-Pad. Even though it doesn't seem so at times, Kunos is taking their notes and at some point - boom - new feature.
This doesn't even consider the physics improvement. Recently, a questionable behaviour regarding the tyre heating of vintage soft and medium slicks was brought up. The users made tests and provided feedback. The temp ranges were adjusted in the next patch.
Another example: a user raised concerns regarding a certain suspension geometry. It's not fixed yet but Stefano took note of it and put t on the to-do list.

Titles like the coming GTR, Reiza's kind-of-new stuff are currently dots on the horizon while AC is up to speed.

yep I'd agree with you, if the consoles were up to speed. I also agree with you on p cars, I won't be falling for the hype this time, and pre ordering it. I do like playing p cars though now, it's something we didn't really have on Xbox before, I do like playing on forza though as well in a private lobby, but I'd never rave about the physics/ffb there just awful on wheel, good on a controller though. Never played a gt game though so can't comment on that, but imagine it's like forza.

Amen to that. I don't have extremely high hopes for Project CARS 2, because I wasn't impressed by the first one, but I'm definitely keeping an eye on it.
Car/tracks list and some features seem very promising, we'll see if SMS was able to improve the overall racing/driving experience.

And if you have the talent and patient to wait a couple of weeks before buying Project Cars 2 for ps4 as I will do , try to find some one who will give a honestly
opinion/review about the game , not some big site as we all know who give already a 9/10 before they even played the game a matter of speaking .

Every edition comes with the Japanese Pack, which includes four cars: Nissan R32 Gr. A, Nissan 280ZX IMSA, Honda 2&4 Concept and Honda '16 Civic Type-R.
The Collector's and Ultra editions both include the season pass, which is the only way to have access to the "Motorsport" DLC. That car pack features other four vehicles (Jaguar E-Type Gr. 44, Panoz Esperante GTR-1, Audi '91 V8 DTM, Opel '16 Astra TCR).

This is what has been announced or spotted in the trailers, so far (There are no F1 cars listed, but I'm pretty sure SMS will add the Formula A/B models from Project CARS). Still lots of months to go before release.
