1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

PS4 The new update is so awsome,it deserves a thread praising it!

The patch is simply brutal. I've ever have seen this kind of (FREE!) expansion in a game. Nobody performs the championship mode with so much freedom like Assetto's. And the multiplayer opens huge number of possibilities for the private races. I've also never seen this kind of free content give out.

There are some problems, like the chaos on the multiplayer or the impossibility to create multiclass races on the championship mode (because of AI bug), but some of them hopefully will be solved on the future and other will be solved in the next update.

Yes, definetly Kunos deserves the praise.

We almost have a fully functional racing sim now! Give us button mapping, a decent way to decide before hand the work done on the pits so long races make some sense, and there'll be no more blatant holes to fill.

Ai bug(s) will be soon forgotten, just watch Aris' new video.
They are awesome now, even in multiclass.
Well, on Nords, the LMP1s struggle, but that's expected.
There's a reason those fast cars don't run there anymore.
Good things to come to you.:)

Yep the AI has truly stepped to next level in today's PC update. It's like from another game. Hope console gets it soon. Totally transforms the single player experience

This would be good news. I love to drive the Ford Escort and that old 1979'ish Porsche 911 against the same class, but it throws in that little Fiat thing which is in no way the same class and it is comical to see the AI Porsche 911s get in trail with the Fiats and not pass even when clearly clear to do so. Please post your opinions of the improvement!

You can pretty much see how AI has improved, from that video by Aris (at 7:10 forwards you see even better, from replay). Endurance cars which are much faster, start from back and soon they are in the front, passing everyone like nobodys business. Also lot more variations and searching for overtake among other cars too. That is aggression on 90%, but on lower levels it will race/pass better too. Even on 0%

  8. AC just went from having possibly the worst AI in the genre to now possibly being the benchmark. Yeah, it's that big of an improvement.

it's great that you guys have got the game that you have waited for..Kudos to Kunos for continuing in their efforts to make this the benchmark game. My one wish would be, please make this a pleasant experience for us controller users. I can honestly say that after all this time i still struggle to keep the slowest of the cars on track, even in a straight line :)

I’m a controller user on PS4 and it works fine for me. I play with the most realistic settings and i’ve never had any problems, some of my lap times are actually quite competitive too. If you’re struggling with keeping the car on the track then maybe you could try adjusting the controller settings in the options, personally I use the default settings, but you can adjust things like steering sensitivity, steering speed, deadzone etc.

I have always loved Assetto Corsa as the driving experience is second to none, but after having the full day yesterday with v1.14 it has certainly been taken to another level. Having Custom Lobbies will be huge once I start some league racing and the new tyre model feels incredible.

Bar some fine tuning there is not much I wish it had. Showroom being dropped on console does p**s me I must admit as I want to explore these gorgeous cars properly.

A real-time gap to opponents during a race is needed too as the current set-up is really poor. If this arrived as part of HUD customisation it would be fantastic.

I'm off to work now and know that I will be boring the arse off colleagues talking about the update and wishing I was here driving.

A fabulous update to an already fabulous experience.

PC got Custom Championships before console so it is definitely there.

Waiting for the new AI (next patch) to start a new Championship...

I've a question for Stefano or Kunos team:
How is going to be implemented AI aggressiveness slider on consoles? Will we have a slider similar to PC version? Will we have presets behaviors similar to current difficulty console version?

    Thx

So... Yeah. It's turning out alright?... OK. Not sure where to start. Honestly what are you guys thinking? Sure you have fans that will simply praise anything you do, but please take an objective look at the things you are doing and releasing.

This patch is a bitter disappointment. You can tell this by the relative silence it has been met with outside of this forum. Apart from the bugs (and there is a jungle's worth of them) it's the decisions you guys make that astonish me. Ignoring all the surely bizarre thinking that went into releasing your first few attempts at an online experience for assetto corsa you have known for a long time now what sort of online options are expected for a console title in well, 2007 let alone 2017.

Why isn't very simple logic being applied at Kunos? Just get any employee and fire up the PS4 and try to get a race without spending hours. Do it, see how it goes. You won't be able to. This is because of you guys, the design decisions you have made prohibit the ability to just jump in and have a bunch of fun races. In ANY other console racer I just find a race within a few minutes of booting up the console. Why can't I do this in AC? Is this such an unreasonable thing to expect?

    This is what I expected in this update (for online, the only thing that matters);
    click create lobby
    enter name
    select cars/free/car class/specific cars/single make etc
    select track/laps/timed race
set restrictions for tuning and driving assists
default to free open practice then optional qualifying (with a 10min default) started by vote or room host or timer, like race every 15mins or something
click open and wait for players...
room shows up in list showing ping, # of players, car/track and restrictions
    people join & have fun

Why isn't it like this? It's the most basic setup and grantees fun. You could just boot up, find a lobby and have a few races per hour. As it is I haven't had a single race yet, can't find one, just people in free practice (for hours, mostly just idle in the pits) and I have never actually seen a room setup with the cars I am interested in driving (street cars).

At the very least guys FIX YOUR DEFAULT SETTINGS. Nobody thinks hours of practice is fun for a 5 lap race. I just want to come home from work and jump straight into a race. You could make some small strides towards this just by editing some numbers in a text file. Why you don't seem to see this again astonishes me.

And just to backup that its just not me (because this forum seems like a bubble world)..
    https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/ps4-custom-online-lobbies-the-pros-and-cons.355964/

"Plenty of open lobbies last night... unfortunately, most with 60 min practice sessions and 90 minute qualifying... for a 5 lap race... or 'cruzin' at Highlands Long

At this stage I'm not personally finding private lobbies to be useful. Previously, I could just jump from GT3 room to GT3 room and have back to back races. Harder to find anything worth racing in now, and a lot harder to get multiple races in over a couple of hours.

GT5P -> GT5 was the same for me, and even now, GT5P is the best on line racing experience I've had. So easy to just jump on line and find a race with a full grid."

"there are almost no races that start before the time the voyager 1 reaches another star system."

"There's no information how high tyre/fuel depletion is in a room.. Just did an online race where Corvette C7R used ~6l a lap at Nurburgring Gp and surprisingly only one person finished that race.. Ridiculous."

"How I miss the never ending fun of the GT5 Shuffle/Spec days. That experience kicks the crap out of anything AC or P CARS has to offer."

"PCars 2 will be around before this is ever sorted out the way most people want it to be."
