1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

    Agree totally but its all part of the mentality of needing something new and shiny every 5 minutes. AC still has much more to offer and plenty of life left in it. I mean, by the end of the year we might have 10 laser scanned real life tracks and 30 new cars, night racing with working headlights and a whole host a new and exciting features. With every update we are getting or DLC, this is pretty much what we are getting anyway. I don't see people asking for an Iracing 2 and I see no need for an AC 2 either.

    removed I never "prophecised" anything, I just thought that it had a long enough lifespan for Kunos to focus on something else (and I would've been glad with how much content support AC has had over the years), most developers do that.I'm enjoying the content, I always have, this community is so god damn protective or criticising.

    Very good point you make: I don't see anyone asking for iRacing 2...it's one game constantly developing.

    To me, the "2 this, 3 that," etc. games always feel like reboots--and this implies a failure or mistake or something else negative. Assetto, though it has drawbacks, has no real issues at its core. Hence, the game to me is one product, constantly developing. This is not unlike a car throughout its racing life. It doesn't become another car, merely improves as best it can. And unlike a car, a game can improve by leaps and bounds without BoP or other such restrictions.

    We should consider ourselves lucky that - as full grown men - we still allow ourselves to get as excited about our favourite toy as a kid on Christmas eve.

    Surely we can also act up like these kids too if it's the wrong present but still...let's appreciate the Peter Pan attitude :p
     
  10. AC2 is desired because it is the only way that a 24 hour day/night cycle will be possible. Although the odds are extremely long, rain and RealRoad™ could actually be implemented into AC v1.x. Night could not.

    It would be too much work overall, probably 100percent of the content should be revised for that, not only coding, and perhaps insane amount of coding too. Night obviously isn't going to come because of multiple light sources being unavailable, but wet track has its demands for engine too - such as cars being reflected on tarmac, lights being reflected, reflections being rendered in distance, spray eating performance and so on...

    @garyjpaterson wow, thats really nice feature, I'd love this flags feature.
