1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

I don't get it either. People are literally increasing his exposure and financial reward by visiting that site. I already know the rationale of many... "Oh...I go there just to laugh at what a loser he is!!" Hey, to each their own...but by clicking onto his site you are supporting him. In my mind, that means you support what he does. Of course, "you" isn't directed at you @liakjim - I just happened to respond to your post because I agree with you.

I was under the impression that Ian Bell also gave the dude an actual race car! Or, he's at least financing the turd's racing career. It's something like that...I guarantee it. Talk about supporting what the troll does?

I think the relationship developers/ PRC is a bit like the one Trump has going for him with the mainstream media :D.

Looks like GT goes around in circles, first GT1 was too expensive, so GT3 was introduced, simpler cars, no widebodies, cheaper to buy and to run. Now the GT3, that progressed meanwhile, turning more complex and expensive, so those simpler, cheaper GT4s are becoming more popular.
Although to be fair, both GT3 and GT4 are much more balanced now, better recipes, if you like, so considering good economy I feel like this time, instead of being replacement, GT4 will act as a doorway into GT3. Higher budget teams don't downgrade to GT4, but instead, lower budget teams can afford to go into higher end racing, though it is couple of steps below the top end. GT4s are proper now, finally well organized too, instead of being collection of cars that more or less fit together. Another step in the ladder of premium racing.

What's the optimum RPM to shift at in the R8 LMS 16? Figured this'd be the best place to get a quick answer. Feels like when the last red light comes on- but looks like torque drops off way earlier around 7k.

Take a look at the power graph. Torque drops somewhat after 7000 rpm but power stays flat until 8600 rpm or so. Limiter is somewhere at 8500-8600 rpm. Basically, rev it out until you hit the limiter.

If you dont want to have to check power graphs everytime you can download sidekick. It has a feature that tells you when its the best time to change gear. Look at the rpm once the light turn yellow and you know it without having to look at power graphs. :) I dont know who it was that said this but it was someone here on the forum, i am forever grateful for that.

Sidekick has two ways to use shift lights.

    a) peak power near the rev limiter: simple shift lights only determined by rpm (you can set the threshold in Sidekick's options, I think default is 92% of max. rpm for yellow light, 96% for red light).

    b) a complex algorithm for peak power (way) earlier than the limiter, this one takes rpm, power graph and gearing into account, so i.e. the optimal shifting point for the same car can be different between 2nd to 3rd or 5th to 6th gear (etc. ...)

Hahahaha. Some guy linked this in the comment section of PRC because it pretty much said in the article that the console release was a huge misstake:
