1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

In order to get a better experience with gamepads, we recommend to activate the following driving assists:
    - stability control (50% or more)
    - automatic throttle blip
    - traction control

We suggest you to try these settings before to post your feedback and suggestions.

You can join the discussion completing the following information:

    1. your gamepad model (brand, type)
    PS4 - Dualshock 4 running http://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-DS4-To-XInput-Wrapper

    2. in the Assetto Corsa gamepad options, do you use default settings? Yes / no
I was - but have now changed because something might have changed between 0.5 and 0.7 and now the defaults are horrible.
Can't steer at low speed and it feels very very sensitive.

    3. if you use customized gamepad settings, please list your values for:
    - Steering Speed (1 - 100%)
    40%

    - Gamma (1 - 4)
    2

    - Filter (0 - 1)
    0.7

    - Speed Sensitivity (0 - 1)
    0.1

    - Deadzone (0 - 0.45)
    0

    - Rumble Effects Intensity (0 - 100%)
    80%

    4. Please list the driving assists that you use:
    Automatic braking (on / off)
    off
    Automatic gearbox (on / off)
    off

Automatic throttle blip (on / off)
    off
    Automatic clutch (on / off)
    off
    Stability Control (off / 100%)
    off
    ABS (on / off)
    off
    Traction Control (on / off)
    off

    5. Your favourite car list (only car models currently available in the game)

    6. IMPORTANT:
Here you can share your suggestions to improve the gamepad support:
    6.a. "It must..
Allow you to select a device. Currently if I have 2 controllers plugged in - both are recognised in the GUI, and both are sending input to the game :\ Eg, both my G27 and my DS4 so I have to unplug one to use the other.

    6.b. "It should..
Allow a custom "sensitivity" gradient for the thumbstick. Not all thumbstick are created equal.

    6.c. "It could..
Not have speed sensitivity on by default. Not being able to take a slow corner in the Formula Abarth with default settings because you cannot turn is a real off-putting experience.

    6.d. "It would..
Be awesome if everyone had wheels :)

Just extra info on rumble: Besides rumbling when we are about to loose grip it could rumble when going over kurbs etc. So if we are steering and have full grip = no rumble. Steer harder and harder so eventually we loose grip it should start rumble weak and harder and harder and at the absolute limit before loosing grip is the strongest rumble. This way gamepad users can tell (like FFB users) where the limit is.

    If its possible that is.

    XBow

(Soon to be no.1 is the MB SLS GT3 shown on website when released, can't wait!)

    6. Since it looks at my controller as a wheel, I don't have the benefit of steering sensitivity; though I am not sure that really matters.

What I do find is that different cars use different sensitivity settings which require me to change my Gamma settings in order for the steering to not be too sensitive. The bigger the number, the less sensitive it is to smaller inputs and more extreme towards the outer limits. I'm only saying that because I'm not sure if that is true, it just seems to work that way.

I would like to see a way to adjust these input settings without having to exit out to the control menu. Maybe allow us to do it from the pause screen options, or an options access menu from the pits. Not really important since once I have it dialed in I just save it and it is always that way, but it would be easier and quicker as you continue to add to the car list.

Great job and thank you for looking to us gamepad users for input.
