1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

    Still in the relegation zone but I'm a bit happier now. This car seems to need a lot of steering input, a different technique to what I normally do and it's taking some getting used to. I don't usually bother changing the set up, but I might have to try something different here.

    Wow. I've yet to put in another 2:16 lap after the one I previously posted. Unbelievable that 2:14s and better are a possibility!

    Nonetheless, I've been finding myself inconsistent and short on answers for the Mercedes Arena, Dunlop, and Bit especially. Not done yet though!

    Is because at least for PS4 Soft and Medium tyres give the same laptime , could be a bug on PS4 .
    I've practice on Monday , Tuesday and Wednesday with meduim soft tyres than I changed to Soft slicks had the same laptimes , is not normal soft slicks should be faster .

    All right. If that's really the case, now I see what you meant about the soft and medium compounds from your earlier post.

    That said, get us (PS4 users) into the 2:15s, man! I'll be trying to find my way back to 2:16 land in the meantime. And let's get it @Laughing Gravy and @moodyryder ! The PlayStation motto ain't "Greatness Awaits" for nothing!!!

    @StyleF1re : I will have another try this weekend. I can't hide behind a possible tyre issue though; I'm over a second behind you and you're on ps4 as well. This combination doesn't seem to suit me, which is a shame because I like it a lot.

    With regards to the S and M compound I have the feeling that also on PC there is no difference? Can any of the real aliens/experts (dis)agree with this?
    My best time is set with M. But probably that's because in that specific lap I had the right 'flow'?

    Soft is better when they are in the spectrum. Although, abusing the steering input will overheat the tyres. I didn't felt I pushed all the way. You can always use my setup & see what it does... I suppose setups are the same on consoles.

    It's taken from thread "Tyre pressure engineer"(https://www.assettocorsa.net/forum/i...sure-engineer-also-underteer-oversteer.28841/). You can see all the cars optimal tyres pressure & temperature spectrum.
    slicks soft (s) = 29 psi
    min temperature= 65c
    max temperature= 80c

    medium (m).= 29 psi
    min temperature = 70c
    max temperature = 90c

    slicks hard (h) = 29 psi
    min temperature= 75c
    max temperature = 95c

    It is not if you are fast or slow with this tyres issue on PS4 .
    To test this , first you must come to a point where you can't go faster with medium tyres .
    Than change them to soft slicks and you will see that there is no change in laptime .
    Any way .... it is not a big deal " it is what it is " just wanted to report it for the guys who have PS4 console .

    Yep. Best I could manage over the past two sessions were a 2:17.3 and a 2:17.4. On many of my good attempts I watched my ghost shoot ahead 2-3 car lengths exiting Bit. And if I was fortunate to not see it then I would get the bad news coming onto the home straight. Frustrating, but I enjoyed the challenge nevertheless!
