1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

    Welcome to the thread for Weekly Hotlap #38 - Turbo Panzer

    The Challenge.
    Car: Porsche 917/30 Spyder
    Track: Spa

    I had originally had another Porsche picked for this week and then I started to watch the FOS livestream ;) So the 917/30 built for Can Am racing for which the rule book was just about non existent! This car dominated the 1973 season with Mark Donohue behind the wheel. it took all 8 pole positions and 6 race wins!

    The car is a monster IRL and the in game version is no different, 1200BHP of turbo charged Flat 12 dominates, when it comes on boost in the lower gears you best hope you are pointed straight! The car does have adjustable boost pressure if you have enough brave pills handy!

    Unfortunately we don't have any US circuits to race the beast on, Spa will have to suffice ;), it has space and corners to explore the performance of this car to the maximum :)

    The Rules.
    Mode: Hotlap
    Time of day: Free
    Ambient Temp: 26 Degrees
    Setup: Free
    Controller: Free
    Assists: Factory
    Stability: Free

    If it isn't mentioned here then assume the setting is free.

    Please make sure you have the ambient temperature set correctly, and that you are in hotlap mode, I really don't like disallowing times!

    The Deadline.
    Sunday July 9th - 22:00 BST (GMT+1)

    How to take part!
    To enter simply head into the game select Drive > Hotlap and choose the Porsche 917/30 Spyder and head to Spa. Make sure you setup the session using the settings detailed in this thread and hit the track!

    You can run as many laps as you like and update your times as often as you like, its simple :) All Platforms are welcome, it is all about having fun and enjoying Assetto Corsa.

    To submit a time, pause the game and select 'session' from the menu and screenshot this page or take a photo of your screen and post it in this thread - Note all the information from the screen is required including temperature and mode heading.

    Feel free to post video clips and share information in here as well, but without the session screen your time will not be included (placing the session screen in a video clip is acceptable).

    You also need to state the time and your platform in the body of your post, this should be the first thing you do, the image should then be placed below the text. It would also be helpful to mark updated times with Improvement. This makes collating the results much easier.

    A leader board will be collated on a daily basis to keep everyone up to date on where they currently stand...Unfortunately editing of posts gets locked on this forum so this post will not be updated.

    Feel free to use the unofficial leader board but remember you still need to include the session screen in this thread to be included in the results.

    It really is! :cool:

    I forgot to mention the spool diff that means it doesn't like to turn, oh and that it uses 10 litres of fuel to complete a single lap :)

    Yes,what a great challenge!i did a couple of laps in highlands with this beast this week,really hard to drive but so exciting!love this old gems,this as to be the best WHL :)

    Sweet! Can't wait to have a proper go at this when I'm available. I remember months ago showing my friends this beast at Spa and topping it out (max boost) on the straight. Things don't get much more stupid than with this car. Always looked to get it into third gear as early as possible... haha

    I can do laps with going offtrack,but boy,am i slow :D:D:D this thing was massive wheel spin,hard to steer and not very good brakes.

    Much room for improvement thought,i think.my goal is 2.23/2.24

    I can't play AC at the moment, I've got severe tendonitis (RSI) in my right knee. It's from the Playseat, (for me it is too low and there's not enough support from the squab) and the lifestyle! Time to find the Allen keys, again.

    What about the Practice Lap mode as an option for consolers Mr Gravel Trap, I see it got a like...does that mean OK?
