1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Generic Weekly Hotlap #45 - Oldtimer GP

Welcome to the thread for Weekly Hotlap #45 - Oldtimer GP

    The Challenge.
    Car: Ferrari 312T
    Track: Nordschleife

The Ferrari 312T Formula One car, fantastic thing it is, it looks right, fat slicks, simple body with some basic wings, and that snorkel air intake  The sound it makes is right as well, V12 baby!

The car did race in period at the Nordschleife although on a slightly different layout to the ones available in game, so no time comparisons are possible...

I've gone for the classic Nordschleife layout this time out, it seemed fitting for this particular car, no wide modern F1 track to relax on, just the green hell...

Random fact for the week, Assetto Corsa will be one year old on console come August 26th  The WHC however still has some weeks to go...

    The Rules.
    Mode: Hotlap
    Time of day: Free
    Ambient Temp: 26 Degrees
    Setup: Free
    Controller: Free
    Assists: Factory
    Stability: Free

If it isn't mentioned here then assume the setting is free.

Please make sure you have the ambient temperature set correctly, and that you are in hotlap mode, I really don't like disallowing times!

    The Deadline.
Sunday September 3rd - 22:00 BST (GMT+1) <- Two weeks as always for the Nordschleife!

    How to take part!
To enter simply head into the game select Drive > Hotlap and choose the Ferrari 312T and head to the Nordschleife . Make sure you setup the session using the settings detailed in this thread and hit the track!

You can run as many laps as you like and update your times as often as you like, its simple :) All Platforms are welcome, it is all about having fun and enjoying Assetto Corsa.

To submit a time, pause the game and select 'session' from the menu and screenshot this page or take a photo of your screen and post it in this thread - Note all the information from the screen is required including temperature and mode heading.

Feel free to post video clips and share information in here as well, but without the session screen your time will not be included (placing the session screen in a video clip is acceptable).

You also need to state the time and your platform in the body of your post, this should be the first thing you do, the image should then be placed below the text. It would also be helpful to mark updated times with Improvement. This makes collating the results much easier.

A leader board will be collated on a daily basis to keep everyone up to date on where they currently stand...Unfortunately editing of posts gets locked on this forum so this post will not be updated.

Feel free to use the unofficial leader board but remember you still need to include the session screen in this thread to be included in the results.

Good luck and have fun ;)

Is this the full circuit? I assume it is, well this will be fun with a controller! Try to do it in under 10 minutes.

Need a new wheel for Xbox one, looking now, either the g920 or the TMX, is any one better than the other?

    hi carrot,

dunno how good the tmx wheel is - i used an old thrustmaster wheel at the beginning. better than keyboard but it was crap.

then, after three months i bought the t500rs (really good) and the t3pa pedals (love them) and the th8a shifter (love him too).
since then driving was completely different.
it is fun to take an old car and drive around without racing. only listening the sound and using the shifter is so much fun.
fbb with assetto corsa is so good - i know there is a bump in the middle of the corner and i can feel it throught the wheel so real - amazing.

so if it is possible - buy good pedals and manual shifter - worth every penny!

Ask santa. That's what I did. But I had to be a very good boy until then.
    (I'm 43 by the way)

I know it's pretty dang slow, but I managed to record this within my first twenty minutes ever behind the wheel of this Ferrari. To add onto that, getting a first crack at the Nordschleife makes for quite a frightening, yet exhilarating ride! Really need to watch the exits under second gear (on this stock setup) especially. The car can chew you up and spit you out with the snap of a finger. Didn't even hit the first carousel properly and had to go around the outside, so there's certainly much time to be had. Hopefully I can inch a little bit closer to what @Daniel Perez kicked things off with!

Thanks for the replies. I would love to get those but the restricted by wife budget won't allow it! She would go nuts if she found out the price lol.

This sounds promising. I hope i'll find the time do do some laps this week. I'm really not a fan of modern f1 type cars, but those old machines are awesome and they're very fun to drive.

I was the same mate. Also wasn’t sure how much I would use it so got the wife got me a g920 for Xmas because the pedals looked better. It’s been ace. On a budget I would def recommend it. Feels good and looks good but that’s my opinion and everyone’s different.

What happened to your old wheel Carrot?

I have the Thrustmaster TX (Xmas pressie from the wife in 2015) but a buddy of mine has the TMX and he loves it and races Assetto, F1 2016\17 and pCars.

Haven't been around for these challenges for a while but I love the classic cars so will try to give this one a go over the next week. Now online is hosed it will give me something to get back to the game for.

    Good choice again @Graveltrap :)

If you want to loose some sweat you have to try this 312T in Deutschland, Nordschleife. Man all the beer and wine I consumed in Normandy starts to float out of all the holes I have available in my body. Upon request I can share photo's but I think I already know the answer
7:12 and about 10 restarts. 6:27 is insane.

Thanks for all the replies. The old wheel was the basic thrustmaster non force feedback one, so need to upgrade as I am missing out on the whole experience. Ah yes, multi quote, will remember next time!

Just a bit of fun. No timing screen so this isn't eligible for the Weekly. It's from back in January when I first bought the game. 7m13. I shall try to better it over the coming days. Might have another go on the 999 as well. That lap is horrible.
