1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

    Welcome to the thread for Weekly Hotlap #47 - Pony Express

    The Challenge.
    Car: Ford Mustang 2015
    Track: Black Cat County - Short

    An all American muscle car, good power, good sounds, cornering? After the BMW it's chassis is going to feel soft and slow to respond, the V8 is a little agricultural but gets the job done and it does sound great!

    Black Cat County - Short, head up into the hills and let rip, very wide, which in turn makes it pretty fast, it has a good flow. Let us address the problem with this track now, it doesn't invalidate laps, if you feel the need to exploit this feature there is very little that can be done :( but you are just cheating yourself more than anything else, there is nothing at stake here other than a bit of kudos and some likes on a post ;)

    The Rules.
    Mode: Hotlap
    Time of day: Free
    Ambient Temp: 26 Degrees
    Setup: Free
    Controller: Free
    Assists: Factory
    Stability: Free

    If it isn't mentioned here then assume the setting is free.

    Please make sure you have the ambient temperature set correctly, and that you are in hotlap mode, I really don't like disallowing times!

    The Deadline.
    Sunday September 17th - 22:00 BST (GMT+1)

    How to take part!
    To enter simply head into the game select Drive > Hotlap and choose the Ford Mustang 2015 and head to Black Cat County Short. Make sure you setup the session using the settings detailed in this thread and hit the track!

    You can run as many laps as you like and update your times as often as you like, its simple :) All Platforms are welcome, it is all about having fun and enjoying Assetto Corsa.

    To submit a time, pause the game and select 'session' from the menu and screenshot this page or take a photo of your screen and post it in this thread - Note all the information from the screen is required including temperature, mode heading and of course the car being used!

    Feel free to post video clips and share information in here as well, but without the session screen your time will not be included (placing the session screen in a video clip is acceptable).

    You also need to state the time and your platform in the body of your post, this should be the first thing you do, the image should then be placed below the text. It would also be helpful to mark updated times with Improvement. This makes collating the results much easier.

    A leader board will be collated on a daily basis to keep everyone up to date on where they currently stand...Unfortunately editing of posts gets locked on this forum so this post will not be updated.

    Feel free to use the unofficial leader board but remember you still need to include the session screen in this thread to be included in the results.

    I used to really like it a lot. But TM10&inertia update changed it to infinite underseering mess (imo, others have different opinion lol) and I just can't stand it since then. Also before the update it was right at the same pace of the M3, down to 0.1s, but not anymore.

    Sorry for moaning, have fun. ;)

    Good luck in this one guys. I hope the Xbox problems can finally be put to bed this week to give more a chance to take part. I have shelved the game until there is news on a 'real' fix for it rather than the plaster that was applied to the wound the last time.

    If you watch my second lap, I get my time invalidated by rsr timing. Although I'm not sure why it happened because I had two wheels inside the white line and I didn't hit the barriers... Its on the first left hander that I get invalidated.
    However, the game did not invalidate the same lap...

    RSR is much tighter on track limits then the game itself, from what I understand anyway. RSR is a PC only thing anyway but hey if you want to make life harder ;)

    I do wish the in game limits where a little tighter for hotlapping, you can get away with 4 wheels off on occasion, some corners by a pretty large margin :eek:

    Some corners i think i was a little bit over the white line, but only with two wheels. And more "by accident" than planned.:rolleyes:
    Really difficult to decide.:confused:
    I try to do clean laps. :cool:

    Must learn how to drive this car (as every week) :D

    Good fun this car and track. I'd have never played them without the weekly hotlap. Whc really has opened up a lot of Assetto Corsa to me. Thanks to Graveltrap, HavanaBob & Hugo.

    I hope the Xbox issues get resolved. It's not the same without those lads.
