1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Generic Weekly Hotlap #63 : P4/5 Competizione

Welcome to the thread for the Weekly Hotlap #63

    The Challenge.
    Car: P4/5 Competizione
    Track: Highlands Drift

I can't do drifting. Antarctica drifts faster than I can. I thought I'd pick the track though and how people get around it is entirely up to them.

This car is quite forgiving, easy to manage for those of us less gifted. Like any car though, skill will get more out of it. There are plenty of chances to gain or lose time on this circuit; not much time to relax at all.

    The Rules.
    Mode: Hotlap
    Time of day: Free
    Ambient Temp: 26 Degrees
    Setup: Free
    Controller: Free
    Assists: Factory
    Stability: Free

If it isn't mentioned here then assume the setting is free.

Please make sure you have the ambient temperature set correctly, and that you are in hotlap mode, I really don't like disallowing times!

    The Deadline.
    Sunday January 14th 2018 - 22:00 GMT.

    How to take part!
To enter simply head into the game select Drive > Hotlap and choose the P4/5 Competizione and head to Highlands Drift. Make sure you setup the session using the settings detailed in this thread and hit the track!

You can run as many laps as you like and update your times as often as you like, its simple :) All Platforms are welcome, it is all about having fun and enjoying Assetto Corsa.

To submit a time, pause the game and select 'session' from the menu and screenshot this page or take a photo of your screen and post it in this thread - Note all the information from the screen is required including temperature, mode heading and of course the car being used!

Feel free to post video clips and share information in here as well, but without the session screen your time will not be included (placing the session screen in a video clip is acceptable).

You also need to state the time and your platform in the body of your post, this should be the first thing you do, the image should then be placed below the text. It would also be helpful to mark updated times with Improvement. This makes collating the results much easier.

A leader board will be collated from time to time, this will keep everyone up to date on where they currently stand...Unfortunately editing of posts gets locked on this forum so this post will not be updated.

Feel free to use the unofficial leader boardbut remember you still need to include the session screen in this thread to be included in the results.

Good luck and have fun ;)

the toyota celica special challenge on this track is really good - i struggled for weeks to get gold and then changed gear ratio and it was easy. cant wait to come home to test this combo :)

I can’t believe I’ve never tried this track. Anything with drift in the title I usually stay away from but this track is so good. Love how twisty it is.
    Another great combo Moody
    Gonna be a fun week

Just like me,im not a drift fan.the first (and only time until a few weeks ago) i tried the track was only for sight-seeing.but i decided to set up a race just for the extra challenge and i loved it.also, you get a nice vintage feeling at Highlands, which is a plus for me :)

Yeah definitely. Just been trying the lotus 98T while I learn the track and it’s ace with all the swooping corners.

so different. the long corners - feeling not right atm - many mistakes.:(

setup - softest tyres - with cold tyres its difficult. after one lap they are hot! too hot
shortest gears, max rear wing - camber front 4.5 rear 2.5 - too much?o_O

again a lot to learn :)

Lewisxbone, did you use the SS tyres for that lap? I've switched to mediums, they don't overheat as much. Did a 1:59.4 with them.

Yeah I used the SS. thanks I’ll give the mediums a try
