1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

When does AI do pit stops?

    Reason for asking is because i just raced AT2 Formula Abarth Trofeo, 20 laps on Magione, i started with 40 litre fuel and slick soft tires, after 11 laps i had to change tires, because the front tires was worn out, i was on 2nd place and i thought i could catch up to them when they entred the pit, but they never did :mad:! So i ended up on 4th place :(.
    So i wonder why should i continue to use fuel consumption and tyre wear, when AI is not affected by it :confused:?
    I'm a bit dissapointed, the only thing i liked was that i could watch the pit crew change the tires for me :).

    The AI is certainly affected by fuel consumption, on PC that can be checked with a developer app called Race fuel monitor that shows fuel and consumption for all cars on track - I don't think that is any different on console. In terms of tyre wear tyre temps, grain, blister and flat spots should all affect the AI as well, with dev apps like car physics and running the player car as AI you can see that on PC - don't see a reason why that would be disabled for the AI in actual races. They definitely do not pit early (or at all) for tyres however and just drive onwards. A player would have pitted 20 laps ago here for example and the AI is still going:

    Definitely something the devs need to work on in the future. I presume they typically just pit for fuel first either way and in races they don't usually take Softs/Super Softs, only in qualifying - so tyres last even longer for the AI. The AI can only properly calculate how much fuel it has to take if you do a race weekend with qualifying. They don't do pit strategies yet so after qualifying they take as much as needed or a full tank and then pit (and repair/change tyres as the pit stop is just a full reset) whenever they hit low fuel. Fuel consumption follows the same rules as for the player (I think they actually consume a bit more due to being on the gas as much as possible).

    I had such weird experience (bug??) on Assetto Corsa (pc version 1.11) as described below 2 weeks ago ~

    [ Quick race ]
    * Track : Nordschleife Endurance
    * # of Lap : 4
    * # of AI opponent : 15
    * Difficulty : 100%
    * One make race : Mazda MX5 Cup

    My MX5 Cup fuel tank : 33L
    Average fuel usage per lap : 8.1L

    All 15 AI cars ran out of fuel during midway of Lap 4 (at around Wehrseifen) and quited the quick race.

    I guessed all of the AI cars filled with 25L fuel during start of the race and consumed less fuel per lap than me.

    I have both Assetto Corsa PC and PS4 ver.

    I don't get this, surely pit stops are a major part of race that has more laps than tire wear. It makes the race weekend unworkable, pcars would be hammered for this.
