1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

    Just a simple question.

I speak for all Monza layouts including modern Monza.

Maybe because the long straights make it seem like it's boring and because T1 is ery prone for pile-ups.

Personally, I find the track really exciting as top speed and drag become very influential. Also, the turns are very technical and setup tweaks are needed to most cars from default. I absolutely love it for fast cars.

I wonder that about several tracks. I rarely see Bridge Hampton, Riverside, Croft, Bilsterberg, Mills Metropark, Cadwell, Okayama. I've yet to see the updated Road Atlanta either. Nordschleife and Spa are always online.

Does it boil down to most people not wanting to take the time to learn these other tracks or just laziness ? ha!

I can only speak for the SF servers with mainly road cars.

We have a very mixed type of grid with cars that are fast on straights but struggle on turns and light, nimble cars that lose time on straights but gain time in the turns (+ some that sit inbetween).

With these grids a track like Monza simply shifts the balance too much towards the cars that are fast on straights. Also, with the slower grids it's kind of a boring track IMO.
The danger of T1 is only a side factor for me.

    @Orne:
You're listing mod tracks, those are sadly notoriously hard to populate.
I wish it would be better.

Prolly because there's a notorious crashfest in T1 on most public servers. And even in the races on SRS. I love the track, but, many people just can't drive well enough to cope with it.

ATTENTION TO ALL NOOBS - when racing side to side you can not use normal line through chicane such as Monza T1 haha

I bet divebombing is pleasure there.

My last memory from racing at modern Monza online is being divebombed at chicane after the bridge. Imagine that track in rain, if it is difficult even in dry.

Actually, in serious races, the cutting rules on Monza are really counterproductive. When someone "divebombs" you in the chicanes, and you have to take the emergency exit offtrack, then you are the stupid guy, even though you're absolutely not guilty, because you had to avoid the guy who divebombed you. Game should really account for situation like that more. IMO, iRacing does a better job at this, because you gain time by going offtrack, but you don't lose so much time with the penalty.

I used to host the classic Monza's quite a bit. Junior is a nice little track. T1 there can be tricky though, I refuse to go wildly off line to the inside (most of the time) which can lead to some awkward racing :p I do wish it had the chicane to spice things up a little more.

Modern Monza had regulars complaining so I used to avoid it.

Its relatively boring to drive, thats why it is not offered much. Personally, I never liked Monza much.

The track itself isn't too spectacular indeed. IMO, racing is what brings it to life. Especially in Formula cars.

That escape road could use less penalty time for sure, total disaster to take it.

Monza is a bit boring to drive solo but generally great to race in anything with other good drivers. A pub server at Monza thats fairly open is mostly for people that like taking it up the A$$ by randoms.

I think its actually more fun in slower cars where passing will happen at the end of each straight most laps with faster cars not quite as vulnerable, but again this means you dont want to race with blind Freddy who cant learn the few brake points at this relatively simple layout like the modern one.

Jump into an open pub server on the historic Monza layout and it will quickly show how bad the majority of people are that play MP and why we need minorating to have any hope for reasonable pub server racing.

Agree with @martcerv in most points but not on the slow car thing. Monza is best for me in fast cars and would be ideal for exotics such as the Huayra, Zonda, FXX. Supercars are already to slow for that track IMO. Of course the Formula cars are great here, too.

Don't bother looking for matching cars here...just go for single make racing and be happy.

    It is not boring.

A track tha can take this label is Silverstone 67. Corner to right, them corner to right, them corner to right, full flat corner to left and them corner to right, repeat everything again...

Monza is a very trick track, Parabolica and Ascari session is some of the best corners of Assetto Corsa.

  21. This is exactly why I liked the track rotation format in GT Legends and GTR2. With only one race per track, it didn't matter if the Force was out of balance for one or two of them.
