1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Little trick how you might get more FPS (no graphics settings changed)

I went from 50 FPS average to 65 FPS average in AI Race by setting the process priority of the game in task manager to low. You might have better performance by setting it to high but for me low gave the best results.
Hope I could help somebody :)

I can confirm this works! Just tried it. Gained 15-20 fps. Thanks for the tip!

After setting priority to low in Task Manager I saw a 15-20 fps increase. Doesn't make sense but it works! I'll take whatever I can get. Haha

Guys, in proper operative systems (Unix), and possibly also in Windows, low priority number means less time waiting for resources, so "faster".

There is nothing magical about it.

lol, I don't know the numbers behind it, but in the task manager "Low" means the lowest priority, thus the thread scheduler will consider it as less important than any other processes. Unless there's a bug somewhere in windows setting ACC to low should not result in more FPS.

The reason why is easy to understand. The power setting in the balnced plan only changes the clock of your CPU when the PC is idle, it downclocks the CPU, if you launch a game it will tell the CPU to go to max clock.
Windows does not lower the CPU clock when you're playing a game regardless of the mode, that's why you don't see a difference.
The performance plan just tells your CPU to stay at max clock all the time regardless of what you're doing, you also produce more heat when idle.
If you're on a laptop all this means is your CPU will draw more power and lower your battery life between charges.

Were you alone on the track or with AIs?

no effect here, switched to high and to low several times. race with ai sunny conditions.
now night and rain. no effect.
depending on the number of cars that are in sight and the area of the track i have fps fluctuation(?) ~ 10fps.
when i switch from priority high to normal to low and vice versa its difficult to say if anything has changed.
for me it seems - higher priority - more fps. but minimal and not for sure. o_O

Alone. I guess with AIs any difference would show up more, with more physics threads being in use. Process priority has nothing to do with CPU clock. It's how often processing power is given to the process by Windows.

It wouldn't matter regardless of the plan you pick or a custom one you make, once you load ACC your CPU will always operate at max speed.

Doesn´t work for me, 4690K@3,9 Ghz all cores, RX 480@1310 Mhz Core, 2100 Mhz RAM. FPS vary from 50 to 75 in full field, even in rainy conditions about 50. Could lower the AA form TXAA High, but I can´t stand the flickering. Wich Freesync it´s not that bad.

Anyone tried the new game mode from Windows 1809? It´s meant to reduce the screen-to-screen latency... I don´t know. Couldn´t make out a difference.
