1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Is ACC going to run worse on AMD cards?

  4. Sorry, will do later, I'm afk now. Some values are
    51 FPS - 3603 VRAM - 53% CPU
    And a weird 0% GPU.

While I desperately want FreeSync monitors, now seems a poor time to buy one. HDR is on the verge of becoming mainstream, but current HDR monitors are either really expensive or have poor HDR performance. But in a year...

And next year, new TVs should support adaptive-sync which could make them a potentially great option - HDR, adaptive-sync, and large screen sizes for an awesome field of view. AMD just needs to put out a 1080Ti equivalent card capable of running three of them.

    Interesting information.
Can anyone else add to this?

ok just tested the game, its playable but could be better optimized for sure.

    Medium settings
    PP - high
    Effects - high

    fps:
practice - sunny day 100+ fps
practice -medium rain - 70 to 80 fps (60fps in 3rd person view)
quick race - sunny day, 8 AI, 70 to 80 fps
quick race - sunny day, 20 AI, 38 to 50 fps

Anyone using a vega64? Is it playable on triples? I'm on a RX480 and only single screen with high/mid settings playable. Sim is so awesome I might upgrade just for this but I'm tied to AMD because I have 3 freesync monitors and don't want to lose stutter free heaven. I actually bought a 1080 a while back to try it and it's crazy how 90fps in assetto corsa felt much jerkier than 70fps on amd freesync (75hz monitor).

I got the Vega 64. I'm running a mix of High/Epic Settings and the FPS aren't great right now - my worst case bench is a dusk wet race with 20 AI cars and FPS are at an AVG of, say, 55 with drops to 45 (2560*1080). Thanks to FS it looks great but I'd really like some more FPS.
But GPU performance is weird and misleading at times. It could for example be that you don't loose too many FPS when running triples vs. singles. When I ran triples it impressed me that the FPS difference wasn't all that big.

Something's off though, currently because even in sunny hotlap mode I barely reach the 73 FPS cap. I'd wait a little bit and see how the optimization turns out. A big problem right now is that even many "medium" settings already look very "low".

I don't know if it's an AMD issue. There's no benchmark in ACC like in AC. Nvidia users are IMO also reporting poor FPS performance.

Triple screen was playable for me on an RX 480 4GB, i5, 16GB RAM system at medium settings, it just didn't look great and performance could have been better.

Vega should be significantly faster, and should look and feel smooth with your FreeSync monitors, but the game at present has a long way to go in terms of optimization. AC currently looks and runs much better than ACC on the same hardware, so something isn't right.

That's odd, I have almost identical system to yours and could only get it playable on triples by setting everything to low. Then I could manage around 60fps in hotlap sunny. Looked absolutely awful, so I quickly went back to single screen.

Maybe there are more lighting sources in ACC... but i also hope for optimisation during the development.

Oh, I wasn't getting 60 fps at Medium settings, I was getting ~40-45 fps. Thus it looked worse than AC, and had worse performance, which is a clear sign of optimization issues.

On a single 1080 screen (also superwides like mine) I'd expect (read: hope for) 65 FPS steady at maxed out graphics on a Vega 64. In a demanding scenario that is. So there's 20 FPS lacking atm. Given how well AC runs on poor systemsband how good it looks like with medium and even low settings, I have high hopes.

At 1080p, I'd expect an RX 580 to get 60fps at max (or close to it) settings, like in every other recent AAA game. A Vega 64 should be much faster, and should be able to do 1440p @ 60 fps at those same settings.

I mean, it is a Kunos working with an engine that's new to them, so I think it's understandable that performance may be far from where it should be right now. As you said, AC runs really well on older hardware while looking rather good, so I have confidence that ACC will get the optimization it needs to match and surpass that.

Was there any info from Kunos how far they are with optimisation and/or how big the potential in the future is?

Matching the minimum requirements usually means all you can enjoy are the menu's, but maybe im lucky. :D

They are playing with Vulkan and DX12.
UE4 Engine gets updated maybe too due RTX later on.
So yea I expect lots of optimisations to come surely.
But on the other hand most UE4 Games run like crap performancewise. Enough Title released for VR and normal gaming with UE4 to compare.
Frostbyte or Witcher Engine, don't know name - are like a huge step above when it comes to visually appearance and performance.
    Not Kunos Fault :)
