1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Was surprised to see the Abarth is the significantly more powerful car. Must be the longer wheelbase and better traction of the Mazda that delivers the time, in my case.
Either way Andy's challenge makes the most ham-faced look fish-fisted.

I don't mind keeping the scoreboard up to date if someone will create the post.

If there's no entry for substitute Hugo I think we should take turns.

Yes, just copy and paste the previous introduction. Then alter to suit removing the old car and track and replacing with the new ones. Add the previous week's challenge to the bottom of the hotlap history. Don't forget to change the closing time and date as well. That was the bit I used to miss. Good luck ! :)

  11. Ok, all good, I've had a WHC103 idea, tested it, parked outside a pub (clue) and done a bit of background research. The post is drafted, it will be up after Tibor has declared this week's winner.

LOL! After a few weeks of absence, I nearly missed the boat on submitting this one :D
I am fond of the MX-5 and I already had a reasonable setup. I also thought the challenge finished an hour from now so I didn't quite give the Abarth a fair shot (and I had to invent a (rubbish) setup ;)). Nice challenge, well done all!

After the Mazda the Abarth wasn't fun at all for me, I have to try it again next weekend :)

I dont know,it would be interesting to see the average laptime of both cars (if anyone wants to go through that troube :p) i feel that its easier to go fast in the Mazda

It looks like a fairly even spread to me. Some went faster in one and others the other. I think it probably depends on driving style and experience with FWD/RWD. Just guessing but I wouldn't be surprised if the Abarth responds worse to overdriving than the Mazda, in the sense that if it is pushed too hard it will understeer and destroy lap times and will happily keep doing so over and over whilst still going round the track. If you push the Mazda too hard you will most likely spin it and eventually adjust accordingly... That might be complete rubbish but it's a theory!

It's plausible... One thing is very clear: the gap between the best and the rest is much smaller for the Mazda and having checked RSR I can see that even if you had uploaded your best time for the Mazda that would still be true. Nobody got within 8 tenths of you in the Abarth, vs. 7 of us in the Mazda.
So I guess that either setup matters (did you do much?), or it's just an easier car to max out, ... or we're all more used to the Mazda :)
