1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

The ACC GPU Benchmark Thread

Welcome to The ACC GPU Benchmark Thread :)

To participate, you'll need to download FRAPS - it's free, lean and easy to use. You can get it here, for example:

    https://www.chip.de/downloads/FRAPS_13010723.html

Set up a hotkey for benchmarking and tick the checkbox at "Stop benchmark after 60 seconds".

IMPORTANT: Deactivate FPS cap and VSYNC for the benchmark run! It can potentially make your system look worse than it actually is! Adaptive sync like FreeSync and GSync can remain active.

Now, set up a hotlap session like this:

    GPU_Benchmark_02.png

Here's a zoom-in on the left red box:

    GPU_Benchmark_03.png

As for the GFX and camera settings, choose GFX preset Epic and change res to 1920*1080. When in the car, choose standard cockpit view, go to view settings and reset to default.

Start the session. As soon as you're in the cockpit, hit the benchmark hotkey. Drive in a moderate way - not too slow, not too fast - until the benchmark is finished. You'll notice this by the FPS counter reappearing in the corner of the screen.

Open this thread and post the FRAPS result from the file FRAPSLOG.txt.

Please write down your CPU, GPU, RAM, and ACC version.

Here's the results chart (average FPS of GPUs with same chip) and table including all individual test runs.

    ACC_GPU_Benchmark_Graph_27-09-2019.png

    ACC_GPU_Benchmark_Table_27-09-2019.png

Looking forward to seeing your results :)

    Frames: 6863 - Time: 60000ms - Avg: 114.383 - Min: 85 - Max: 168

I was a bit intrigued by the other comments on FOV and view settings (spoiler: I don't find any significant difference...) , so did the same test, but altered as follows:
    FOV 45, dash view
    2018-11-24 12:24:38 - AC2-Win64-Shipping
    Frames: 6965 - Time: 60000ms - Avg: 116.083 - Min: 92 - Max: 160

Then, changing also the FOV to 70 (just to pick a significantly different number than the above)
Cockpit view (same as post guidelines, but with FOV 70)

That's a lot of FPS! So it seems you were CPU limited here:

    https://www.assettocorsa.net/forum/...cc-benchmark-thread.53257/page-4#post-1010291

The relationship FOV --> FPS is also still a bit mysterious to me. Lower FOV = lower FPS doesn't seem to apply, universally.

If you guys want to check out whether your GPU performs somehow as a expectied in ACC, go to this site and look for the table "GPU Performance Index (Overall)":

    http://www.pcgameshardware.de/Radeo...6623/Tests/Benchmark-Preis-Release-1235445/3/

As it stands from the results currently in this thread, my GPU does underperform in ACC. Compared to the 1080 Ti and the 970 in here, my GPU performs like an R9 Fury X. According to the table, my GPU could be 30 - 40 % faster.
But I'm not gonna jump to conclusions again on this, like I did in some other threads :p

Instead I'll collect more data here. Should it hold true that AMD consistently underperforms...well we should maybe cry our heart out to Kunos and also at the AMD forum, lol!

No. That CPU performed perfectly fine in the other benchmark and here we don't even have AI.
