1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Post 1 updated with the "New Method" table and a preview picture.

There's details missing like FOV or even the numbers for some users. Please check the table and add the missing details.

And let's have some more results with the new method, please. Many residents of the thread haven't done the new method, yet.

@Nvidia users: the stuff like pre-rendered frames in NV panel is important. If you did something here to improve the result - like some are reporting - please note it here. I will add it in the comment column.

LeDude, I don't get the point of this if everyone is not using the exact same graphics settings, fov and resolution. If that's not happening we're comparing oranges and apples. I think the OP should stipulate those settings in order to get like for like comparisons.

Sigh...@AC Support could you please rename this thread to:

The ACC system performance optimisation thread

    Thank you.

Well I don't get the need for a 'sigh', just an explanation would have been fine. I just got a Vega 64, and I'll post my results later using your gfx settings, then using some maths can normalise the results based on resolution. (Im on 1080p)

Yeah do that but please also share your "favourite" settings in here and the benchmark. It's very helpful for others to see the settings from fellow users.

Changing the Camera to Cockpit while keeping the FOV of 34° achieved a slight improvement:

    Dash view, FOV 34 (old):
    2018-11-24 15:20:44 - AC2-Win64-Shipping
    Frames: 3433 - Time: 60000ms - Avg: 57.217 - Min: 45 - Max: 81

    Cockpit View, FOV 34:
    2018-11-27 14:09:06 - AC2-Win64-Shipping
    Frames: 3582 - Time: 60000ms - Avg: 59.700 - Min: 48 - Max: 85

I think it's worth for Dash cam users to try cockpit view. By shifting the camera around with the great "view settings", you can achieve just the same perspective. Problem is if you see the wheel in cockpit view with your settings. With my settings I don't see it.

Here are my results for the settings I used in post #092. I was using the dash cam with the default FOV and V-sync was disabled.

Ohh maaaan, you can't imagine how much search I did to find a topic like this! :)

Although I just have an i5-4460 CPU, but if you want guys, I can make this test you need, because in a Hungarian forum, we are discussing this CPU-GPU-performance trio for a very long time now.

The Mirror Quality Slider from low to epic adjust the distance, how close opponents needs to be, to be visible.
At low, cars need to be closer than 50 meters or so, to be seen.
    The quality stays the same.

So how did you gain 7 AVG FPS from the result in post 97? And you use cockpit cam, right?

@APC900 what FOV did you use?

  15. NeRo2

    NeRo2 Gamer

    Yes, only Cockpit View.

But not sure to be honest how I gained some AVG FPS. After the update to 0.3.5 I installed the newest NV Drivers, deleted the ACC Profile in the Panel and restartet my PC. A few days ago I found out that my GPU constantly hit the temperature target of 83°C while in ACC. So I started Afterburner and set the fans to 100% to avoid the target as a safety measure and restarted the Benchmark. Will test it out soon again but it could really be that my GPU underclocked a little because of the temp target. Never had such a case with any other game until now.

I managed to squeeze a few more FPS from the Vega 64. I did it by "undervolting" it by 68 mV. This brought up the clock speed from ~1540 MHz to 1560 MHz and the Power consumption down from ~270 W to 250 W along with a temperature reduction of ~2 degrees. An efficiency tweak that improves performance. I'm Impressed.

Settings as per this post: https://www.assettocorsa.net/forum/...cc-benchmark-thread.53257/page-5#post-1010511
