1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Wow, my little Fury X and this game don't wanna get friends^^

    ACC 0.3.5
    CPU: i7-4790k @4000MHz
    GPU: Radeon R9 Fury X
    RAM: 16GB DDR3 @ 1866MHz

    2018-11-27 10:58:17 - AC2-Win64-Shipping
    Frames: 1671 - Time: 60000ms - Avg: 27.850 - Min: 21 - Max: 40

also did the test with 2560x1080p since i have a 3440x1440 monitor:
    2018-11-27 11:05:14 - AC2-Win64-Shipping
    Frames: 1524 - Time: 60000ms - Avg: 25.400 - Min: 21 - Max: 34

didn't really expect that, 1/3 more pixels but im loosing only 9% FPS

With these Graphic settings i can imagine that the game is really looking good^^

    EDIT:
Did one more test with changed Windows settings because it tapped out when i started the benchmark.
    Fullscreen: OFF

    2018-11-27 11:32:07 - AC2-Win64-Shipping
    Frames: 2433 - Time: 60000ms - Avg: 40.550 - Min: 29 - Max: 61

I updated post 1 using your test run as per the rules.

BTW I can't reproduce the FPS gain when using windowed mode. Can you reproduce it?

I think something is properly wrong with your system at the moment. From everything we have learned about AMD vs. NVIDIA performance, your GPU should achieve about 50 FPS or a few more in this benchmark. Is it running at proper clock speeds?!?

Did some tests, i had one with an average of 58,917FPS, but i can't get that again.
Usually i get ~42 FPS average, with OC to 1100MHz i got 45 FPS.

Im running the card without oc, especially in ue4 i have problems when im going over 1100MHz (yet, i have no idea why)

Ok I'll remove your result from the table in the next update. Let me know when you have sorted out that issue. Your AVG of ~42 is with Fullscreen = Off?

No thats with Fullscreen on, all settings as you wrote in op ;)

K thanks. Please post the min max avg numbers of one of those runs for me to add it to the table.

No idea how the other guys had much better performance. Also, for this test, no changes should be made on the NV settings, as it changes the graphics. But still, no idea why the performance is so different.

EDIT: Well, for some reason FRAPS is the reason my fps is so low, without fraps it's much better. Will update with more information soon.

Test done using MSI Afterburner. No overclocks.

    27-11-2018, 17:27:53 AC2-Win64-Shipping.exe benchmark completed, 4155 frames rendered in 64.109 s
    Average framerate : 64.8 FPS
    Minimum framerate : 49.5 FPS
    Maximum framerate : 99.6 FPS
    1% low framerate : 46.2 FPS
    0.1% low framerate : 40.5 FPS

Interesting. I can't reproduce that. Here's a fresh run with FRAPS:

    2018-11-28 10:19:49 - AC2-Win64-Shipping
    Frames: 3585 - Time: 60000ms - Avg: 59.750 - Min: 46 - Max: 87

And here's a fresh run with Afterburner:
    28-11-2018, 10:15:42 AC2-Win64-Shipping.exe benchmark completed, 3815 frames rendered in 65.891 s
    Average framerate : 57.8 FPS
    Minimum framerate : 45.4 FPS
    Maximum framerate : 78.8 FPS
    1% low framerate : 45.4 FPS
    0.1% low framerate : 43.6 FPS

The Afterburner numbers are a tad lower because the tool took control over the GPU settings (which is why I use FRAPS for the benchmark) and changed the power levels.

Other than that, I can see no difference between these benchmark results.

Feel free to use Afterburner, though, as long as the run is about 60 s long.

    Post 1 updated.

@MakeMeLaugh your GPU still underperforms a bit - dunno what's going on there. I don't really think FRAPS caused the problem. Afterburner takes control over your GPU clocks, power management and fans. Can you try with AB active and benchmark with FRAPS at the same time?

@Jack0 maybe try using Afterburner and see if your result improves, too.

Fraps was fine today, don't know why. Was getting similar results, then turned on threaded optimization. Overall it's the same with a slightly higher max fps.

    2018-11-28 11:27:01 - AC2-Win64-Shipping
    Frames: 3837 - Time: 60000ms - Avg: 63.950 - Min: 48 - Max: 103

It really depends if the other users changed anything in the nvidia control panel as you can force some graphic settings. Also I'd say the version of their 1070 can also have an impact. Mine is a 1070 Galax Mini.

@Jack0 your result does actually fit in. Fury X has 980 potential but performs a bit below 970. Same as with all other AMDs in here compared to their direct competitors.

Now I'm regretting not going for a 1080ti instead. :( Got 3 freesync monitors though so pretty much locked in to AMD. Just gotta stay positive AMD gets a driver update for ACC I guess.

Hahaha I'm in the same camp :-D

I have a support ticket open with AMD regarding a driver optimized for ACC. My hopes aren't too high but yeah...maybe we get lucky. Hopefully Kunos can pull some nice tricks for optimization, too.

But Freesync is a very soft pillow - I can't stand any unsynced gaming and even at 45 FPS it looks as good as VSync 60.

I know right? I actually got a 1080 about a year ago and hated it, because even 80+ fps looked way worse than 50-60fps freesync on my aging rx480, so I sent it straight back!

Using same ACC configuration as described on first message.

I will update my rig in about a month, so will perform the benchmark again. I may play with the same CPU with new video card and the new CPU with the old video card just to check.
