1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Tarmac details depend on the grip level setting and rubbered-in state...

same thing is for ACC... load up practice track will be clear load up Hotlap and track is rubbered in..sadlly we dont have free cam for comparison but you can notice a lot of those curbs are black on some areas where cars hit curbs actually.

Are server admin choosing grip level for tarmac in the server settings? If they chose a green track- does it improve over a session? It seems to me like servers with low grip are stuck in that state.
I see lots of rubber being laid down- But it's like disappearing ink! And I'm missing that feeling you got from AC that you could do your fastest lap late in the session. It does feel like there's a temperature change affecting grip at sundown, which may just be my perception as I adjust to the vision changes. (Which is amazing in VR btw) But to me it starts to feel slippy for a couple laps right after the sun goes down. I would hope that the servers would always start with a green(or somewhat green) track that improved as rubber was laid down and track temps improved.

a lot of servers i have been driving on had clear track so no rubber so it was a bit messy to drive on.. But i belive track is dynamic already since last night i started doing 1h race and it was clear but 30min in i can already see it is a bit darker on brake zones etc.

feel like the game received with update 0.3.5 also some improvements in graphical fidelity. can't put my finger on it, but seems a bit more refined than 0.3.0
you just feel it when driving over and over again in the same setting to have a benchmark.

Much prefer the first pic. The trees look overly bright and gaudy in the 2018 pic. It’s not post processing either for that aspect, they actually changed the tree textures.

You must be from UK aren't you?

Edit: just checked your profile and it seems that you indeed are! Original post was my wild guess, because people living in different climates tend to see colors differently. I was wondering if amount of rain plus the types of trees you have in the UK was the reason you prefer the first screenshot.

Given the civilised and enduring nature of the discussion in here, I've renamed the thread to fit that.

Greenery around Magione, presumably not all photographed at the same time of the year.

Just one quick web search away. So, neither game screenshot is wrong.

Anyway, not exactly relating to graphics in ACC.

Why are we having this conversation still the voice of reason has been present 1000 times here repeating ACC is still a work in progress, give Kunos some slack they are working hard no doubt.

Some people have as much sense as a bird flying around in the sky and comparisions are pointless.

I am certain it will come. Even AC has this in replays (if you play it with maximum clouds weather and say at 8am time).
Actually i think that ACC will have realism elements in it where not even we gamer can think of and will be pleasantly surprised to see them.
I think sometimes gamers underestimate the developers, thinking that the devs might overlook something. But we shall not underestimate how much of a nerd or geek these developers are :)

If you haven't done so already, check out the video linked below showing how to set up VR to get rid of the blurriness and general crappiness. If only Kunos would do what no other game has done yet and have separate VR and non-VR graphical settings including all the options for detail levels, AA, etc. There is no relation between the settings you want for a screen and those you want for a screen and people switch between them all the time and have to mess around with a whole heap of settings to do so each time.

I've got a 2080ti and I thought the UE4 engine supports the new, efficient DXSS (sorry if that's not the right combination of letters) anti-aliasing so I'm wondering if that's an option they are going to expose. Supposedly good quality for almost no performance cost. Since the engine supports it perhaps it is just a case of providing the option on the drop-down.
