1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Generic New Year Hotlap Challenge #109 – What the FxxK??? It’s 2019!

Discussion in 'Console Lounge' started by Totall Wrytoff, Dec 30, 2018.

  1. Welcome to the thread for the Weekly Hotlap Challenge #109 – "What the FxxK? It’s 2019!"

Here's a track day dream to wish you all a very happy new year!

    The Challenge:
    Hotlap
    Car: Ferrari FXX K
Track: Brands Hatch GP at 16DegC

    upload_2018-12-30_21-9-29.png

    upload_2018-12-30_21-9-52.png

Early morning, standing in the pit lane, your heart is beating a bit faster than normal as you pull your helmet over your head and down. Next to you, almost at waist height, sits the Christmas present from one of your wives (or husbands), the pop singer one….
    "What the Fxxk?????"
There is a menacing, pulsing noise in the air. Mechanics are fussing around and you see someone in red trousers and shirt waving at you you to get into the car. It looks like a spaceship! Deep breath, you drop in, reach up and swing the door down, wriggle each arm through the harness, lock the buckle across your waist and pull the straps down tight. Left foot on the brake, fingers pull back the slim, black paddle with a satisfying click, right foot builds some revs and you come off the brakes, knowing the track is yours for the day and that Ferrari, Pirelli and Shell are there to support…

The roller-coaster Brands Hatch GP was my first track day circuit, this car (last seen WHC 19) is simply epic. I hope this is a suitable antidote to the Abarth, (and 2018!)

Wishing a very happy and prosperous New Year to you all! Let rip!

Please note the ambient temp is down to 16DegC!

Recommended general tyre pressure for the FXX-K slick is 30psi all round, however even the softs will take some warning up.
Ideal Temp Range: soft min 80 max 95
    medium min 75 max 90
    hard min 75 max 100

    How to take part:
To enter, select Drive > Hotlap, choose the Ferrari FXX-K and the Brands Htach GP circuit. Please setup the session using the settings below:

Well, my Mrs. bought the ps4 for me, so effectively she did buy me an Fxx and all the other toys that go with it.

    She's no pop singer though.

Delivery on quali and Recovery at 70% for two flying laps, then a recharge lap and large swig of the dry martini. Its only early afternoon but that might be the fastest I go this year!

I put the soft tyres on and dropped the fuel down. All the business with the hybrid system is beyond me so I just left it on 50% and qualify mode. There was still some energy left at the end of the lap though.

This thing is glued to the track. I'm slowing for corners when I'm sure the car doesn't need to.

what do you mean with 50 oder 70%? on pc there is charging, long run and qualify. o_O

The percentage value is for the hybrid recovery. I'm assuming that's how much braking energy is harvested.

We have the same three modes for delivery as the pc: Qualify, Long run or charging.

I don't know if the KERS can be manually discharged like it could on the LMP1 Toyota we once used. I just left it in qualify mode.

Recovery on 70%, which I understand affects the rear diff and braking, expert advice will be gratefully received. I suspect the lower the recovery level, the easier the car is at braking and turn in on corner entry.

  12. I don't think the FXX K has a boost button (like the the P1 and 918 do.) Ideally you start the lap with a full green bar on the HUD and as you come up to cross the line it is nearly empty. There, that's the outer limit of my knowledge. Is anyone feeling short on power?

okay, so on ps4 there must be an information bout the percentage. here on pc i cant find it (or i am blind). what is 50%? long run?

  17. Someone with the PC version will step in here to sort you out, in principal, the percentage is the amount of energy "re-charged" to the battery during braking and "Long Run" is one of the delivery options, the others being "Charging," where you have no added electric boost, or "Long run," which is a low boost level and "Qualify," which I think is the option to go for here.
