Am I THAT bad or this the game really Hard/Inaccurate ?

I'm currently struggling really hard to Match laptimes on the Ring.

L've been playing this game for about 20 hours now.

Last time, it was with the Cayman GT4.
This car "does" 7'42 around the famous track.

I'm running with TC on "Factory", same for ABS, and Stability control off. Sequential gearbox. The car is on the only tires compound available "Semi Slicks"

I'm doing cleans, fast laps. I'm racing as fast as possible. But somehow I can only manage 8'14. Really I couldn't go faster without going off track.

Which mean I'm roughly 30 SECONDS slower than what this car is capable of.

So here's my questions :

Am I a terribly bad driver ?
Is this game glitched/inaccurate ?
Was the real time done with Slicks ?

with only 20h in the AC game 30secs off the pace at the ring isn't bad tho, you will get the hang of it, lots of corners to master.

 

People in this game are doing 7:29 on the semi slicks so you have 45 seconds to find

I think that's quite good actually, that time is probably done by the top 10 drivers in the world !

you could post a video of one lap, so we could give you some feedback.
It's hard to tell without some visual input.

Which version of the Nordschleife do you run btw?
Maybe the lap times you are referring to were set on a different layout of the Nordschleife.
Nordschleife Tourist is a couple of kilometers shortet than the Nordschleife, for example.

Pretty much this. @FastGipsy, do you have any reason expect to be much faster after so little track time in AC? Are you very good at the Nordschleife in another sim?

Seriously asking whether the game is really so hard or inaccurate because you drive 111 % laps after such a short time seems weird.

 

it seems to me a little strange too
