1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

  1. @Gonzalo Rodriguez If you changing something at your home and smth go wrong only you have troubles. If Kunos will try to change engine on the fly and something go wrong whole group of programmers will be in trouble. Feel the difference.

  2. Speak for yourself, my expectations couldn't be much lower. This Early Access program has been so bad that I don't even recognize this as a Kunos product at this point....

Next time maybe you should wait until final release, read some reviews. And if you like what you see, then buy it.

But my opinion is that expectations should not be high nor low. They should just not exist at all. Expectations should be for the final product, not for any of the Early Release builds.

  5. Of course , thats true.

My point is diferent....if you have to develop new shaders for a Game engine is a quite difficult and time consuming task.

To upgrage/redo/change shaders on 4 Cars and 4 circuits is a very easy task , and even more for profesional people with proper tools.

    Anyway....back to my cave....as i doubt i will get a response.

I find it very difficult to not have any expectations during EA.

What I do not find difficult is to keep those expectations to myself or, at the very least, do not succumbed to the need to loudly vocalise my expectations with the purpose for the devs to either have to reply to them or to report on what they are doing to address those expectations.

I have my own expectations for EA (features, improvements, fixes, or supported technology) in view of what will be v1.0 and, I believe, as many others do, devs included (it's a game in development, after all), but as a game in development that it is, my own expectations can be met, or not, and that, of course, I will only know with v1.0.

When v1.0 is released I'll know if ACC and Kunos met by expectations, most of them, just a few or none. Probably ACC will not fulfil all of them, and if most of them are not met, bad luck for me and in future I'll just don't be that much excited with a Kunos product or don't even buy it at all. But if most of my expectation, or a good chunk of the ones I value the most are include, I'll be a happy gamer and, in future, continue to be a Kunos supporter and avid enthusiast.

If I had my way Kunos development team would be locked in a basement and cut off for any outside contact until I get my game.
I haven't really taken part in many early access games. I think it was just AC and I think banished was an EA when I got it.

I don't think this EA has been worse than AC. It was very structured up until the point they ran into the multiplayer issue. I'm not at all upset by things not working as expected because I didn't go into this with expectations. I want to see what Kunos come up with.

I have no real deadline that I need that game by, I want it ASAP, but if that takes an extra week, or month it's not going to cause me any problems. There are other sims I could be playing it's not like I'm depending on ACC to sim race.

I'm not going to make any judgements until after final release. If multiplayer still isn't working after summer and VR stinks I'll be disappointed. But based solely on what I've played so far they've knocked the physics out of the park again and I'll be pretty shocked if the rest of the game isn't just as good.

I would say I expect better performance/optimization, but to be fair, I don't think it will ever happen(even after release).

Content is what it's, they will deliver everything stated, I doubt any content announced will be cut so I can't really complain. Sure there's this thing with multiplayer, but I guess their reason is fair. What I expect though(after release), is a real structured multiplayer, and not a bunch of player lobbies only.

They already have way more than 4 cars to "redo". There's the Jaguar, Lamborghini, Ferrari, Bentley and BMW that we can already drive, as well as the Nissan GT-R 2015 and Nissan GT-R 2018, both of which arrive next week, and then the Mercedes and Audi's that the AI are able to drive, then there's the McLaren which was seen in gameplay and screenshots, as well as the Lamborghini Gallardo which too has been in screenshots, and then there's the Porsche which has been in screenshots. As for tracks, well there's the 5 we can already drive on, as well as Monza which we get next week, as well as Spa which has been seen in gameplay. Brands Hatch, Silverstone and Barcelona have video intros of them which can all be found within the game files, indicating they are for the most part fully complete.

And they don't have to simply update the livery material for each car, they'll have multiple files to update for the wheels, brakes, interior and other parts, as well as the race suit and helmet for every car. Then there's the tracks, which have lots of pieces to them also. Overall, it's a big task for them to completely redo all of their assets, of which there is probably over one thousand, not just 8 like you originally suggested.

  11. I said 4 Cars, 4 tracks.

I know about materials ,pivot points, ,shaders, car and tracks file structures for many Sims.

And you can edit/redo/update All materials of a car in a few minute maybe one hour using 3dsmax, blender ,kseditor or whatever program UE4 needs.

Big part is done and they have done It really really well , because tracks and cars looks awesome, way much better than any other game/sim .

But if i can edit/redo/update All materials and shaders of one car using amateur tools, in a couple of hours , using only one hand and the nose.

One profesional modeller that is for sure thousand of times better than me..

    Easy task.

So i know they have a lot of things to do, MP, bugfixing, create and integrate a lot of content, a lot of testing, but in my opinion....they are Kunos.

Yes they are Kunos and i ADMIRE them
And thats why they could let me down.

Codemasters, SMS, Nintendo and their Mario kart will never let me down.

Im sure they have the talent (and the time) because im not afraid about delays, when delays means improvements, to make the PERFECT GT3 simulator.

ACC looks really nice on 4k, sounds are best out there and i LOVE the physics.

But if you want to make a VR compatible sim (non just Oculus compatible)and if you have to take risks and work hard to get It working ,you should do It.

And come on....there is a guy with a working plugin for triple screen since time ago,is experimental , but i know that some Lord could get It working with the keyboard in one hand and the guitar in the other.

I just wish is kunos the one who take decisions , and are able to choose the way this EA takes, or they have to do Just what other people say to do .

This is one thing that gets me, everyone asking for triple screen support. Do you not reckon Kunos would have done it by now if it was as easy as you said? The amount of people asking for it, I'm sure Kunos would do it just to make people quieten down, but they've not, and I'm sure there's a good reason other than they can't be arsed. Technical reasons, otherwise I'm sure they would have had it implemented a long time ago.

I'm not sure whats so complicated here, work on the majority, including multiple, then VR and triple screens last.

Continually bringing up the minority issues, and the software engine at this point, is a waste of bandwidth.

Weird, I open the above thread and all I see is "CPU Optimizations".

    Must be only me...;)

Edit: Honestly, CPU usage is what's holding FPS back right now for most systems. RTX Systems pushing 160 + FPS in single mode are going down to 50 % of that or less when some opponents are added - online and offline.

For me personally, I have CPU-bound FPS drops to 65 in MP for no apparent "graphical reason". Those drops look bad because Freesync doesn't seem to properly work when the CPU is the bottleneck. GPU is at 70 - 80 % during that scenarios so it could push about 80 FPS, easily.

So what I expect/hope for is: no more CPU-bound FPS drops below 73 FPS (capped here) during multiplayer :)
