1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Tyre Temps: Motec Display vs Setup Display?

I know AC & ACC calculate core & surface temps however could someone please explain to me what tyre temps we see on the vehicles motec display compared to the setup screen as they do not align. I understand how IMO works. If you could please look at the RF and explain it to me it would be appreciated.

    Motec RF: 73

    Setup RF: 69,67,66

I tried uploading in full image at 1440p & 720p. For some reason its rescaling the images. I placed the RF temp values in text above each screenshot as I knew this would be an issue..

Ok the display on the Motec is the current tyre temps they change as you drive, The tyre temp in the setup screen is the starting temp when you first leave the pits.

+ 1 on this you can upload large images and link them in the post so we can see what your talking about.

Ok first image is in the pits in the inner box is the tyre pressure settings in the outer part of the display it says Last Readings this is the last recorded tyre temp if you were out on the track lapping and then hit escape button and went back into the setup screen the outer readings would reflect the tyre temps at the point when you hit esc.

This second screen shot is of the Ferrari the display shows the pressure readings.

This screen shot is for the lambo pit settings
    [IMG]
As you can see they read 65 65 65 as the last reading as i have not done any laps this is the starting tyre temp this matches with the dash display as i jump into the car before leaving the pits
    [IMG]
Green is the tyre pressure's and the blue 65 is the tyre temp as it is set in the setup screen.

What you see on the motec is likely the temperature of the air inside the tyre, while in the pits you see the tyre's core temperatures.

    @Paul Sutton -
I am not referring to PSI. Just temps only. I get what the difference is between PSI, temps, IMO etc..

"went back into the setup screen the outer readings would reflect the tyre temps at the point when you hit esc."

My query is the temperature discrepancy being shown between the Motec Display & the Setup Screen after a lap or two of driving. Your temp examples are all stationary whilst sitting in the pits so of course they will all show 65 deg. Sorry I dont understand where your coming from.

To see a zoomed in version of the screenshots above. Both shots taken at the same point in time. I couldn't add the imgur as images it just produced an X with no image so I placed a link instead. In my OP I also included the data discrepancy so the screens are not so important:- Motec RF: 73 vs Setup RF: 69,67,66

@DuckeyTapey - Interesting.. It would be nice to have this confirmed by the devs.

  12. Afaik the Motec displays the inside or core temp (as in reality with sensors inside the tire) and the Setup page displays the IMO surface temp.

  14. Hey guys! Could devs add tyre IMO temps channels to Motec? This information is essential to make a fine-tune of cambers!

I remember that Ari once said that this won't happen, that IRL the teams only have that data once when the car comes to the pits and they can measure it directly from the tyre and thus the sim also is going to simulte it. Also I believe that ACC has some NDAs that forbids Kunos to show certain kind of data from car manufacturers and pirelli.
