1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

What is the next step?

  1. At first I want to thank the entire Kunos team for their hard work so far. This message is not a charge, just a curiosity about what will follow.

With patch 0.6.5 you can say that we finally have the features programmed for version 0.3.X. Except for the content of cars and tracks, of course.

My question is what will follow? Let's wait until version 1.0 is released? Will we have a new road map with the features that ended up being delayed by the problems that occurred?

Just curiosity, anxiety, and cheering for the ACC remains sensational.

  3. I'd be pretty happy if they'd just carry on like they did until now regarding new content. One track and one car per month would give them plenty of time for 1.0. :)

I believe that most of the content, 2018 cars and track must be close to the finnish stage.

The roadmap on the website (and in the game menu?) still states full release for q1.. Seems kind of unlikely but maybe they are still aiming for that having not changed it. We'll see.

Not quite, it states "available from" Q1. Which means there is no definite release date other than 'no earlier than 2019'.

Besides, if the game needs more time they could (and IMHO should, if they can financially) always delay it/extend the Early Access period until it's in a good state. That's what Early Access is for.

Spa has been fully shown, of Brands Hatch there is several screenshots. Barcelona and Silverstone to go. And of course cars. Some of that have been shown already in Summer 2018 at Misano event (Merc, Audi). But 1.0 would probably have stuff like Career, the announced livery editor, some kind of damage, dynamic weather for AI race... sounds like lot of work and testing before 1.0

Although, if similar path is taken as with AC, 1.0 means only the beginning. And some core features might come after that

  11. There is the chance of the publisher and/or SRO will probably push for a release for the start of the season.
The multiplayer early problems resulted in quite a step back on the roadmap and I don't know how much this influenced the other features.
I do believe the game will be even better with patches after release but the marketing choices could influence the feelings of the game if it's pushed too early.
I'm not a marketing expert but, speaking for me, I would prefer a big presentation during the Monza weekend and relative announce of the release date instead of having a less polished game released in that weekend

I expect (and hope) SRO wouldn’t rush them too much - it was a long time ago but the amazing GTR2 benefitted from coming out well after the 2004 season on which it was based.

Announcing an updated plan at Monza might make sense; we’ll see.

Well I would guess that cars and tracks are mostly done and that there is work to do on another end like career or a lot of MP features that are missing to make it a "competizione". So maybe we'll see a release of all cars and tracks with the next update which either will be verison 1.0 or they're gonna give it another label like 0.9 until the rest of the features are done and implemented. Either way I'm excited for news^^

I'm curious as well. There are a lot of features that need to be implemented for 1.0, and since even the sixth early access release has been delayed, I don't expect 1.0 to come anytime soon. At least after 0.6 the game is finally in a really enjoyable stage, so until 1.0 comes there's something I can enjoy already.

i mean they're working on the game for a while not only since the EA
so maybe they finished already and the multiplayer is one of the last things to test but as they say they have interesting news for us so we'll see

1 build = 1 months, so we have to wait 3 and a half months for the release. It's maths :D

The game will be released at June or July. But I would say instead that, september.
    [..Nostradamus off... ]

Maybe to have more impact for the release, Kunos need to keep this new contents (it's an EA). Commercial strategy ?
So I guess, no new tracks and cars before the 1.0. but maybe I am wong.

Edit: Maybe 1 track or car, if we are good (behave).

My prediction - v1.0 released end of this month.

My reasoning. EA release planned on a monthly basis - I think Kunos planned release of V1.0 a month after v0.6 i.e. mid March. This gave them 2 weeks or so wriggle room for delays that would still let them meet the Q1 release. Since V 0.6 was only just over 2 weeks late I still think V1.0 can meet the end of Q1 date.

Further reasoning - Kunos have not changed the Q1 release date. Kunos have announced the SRO Esport series starting mid April.

They said in the news and announcements section in one post:

"Our progress to version 1.0 and beyond will be explained during the following weeks, and we have some interesting and unexpected news coming pretty soon, but since this is the last scheduled update of the Early Access Programme, we would like to offer a solid update while waiting for what is to come."

Maybe we'll get some news these days. Full post here: https://www.assettocorsa.net/forum/...ne-early-access-release-6-further-news.54993/
