1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Thanks Don, I know these problems unfortunately, so many choices so less time...
Wish you a lot of fun to thew new wheel!
If I could borrow a PS or XB I would do the test, I have a G27 so it could be comparable I guess.
One more thing came to my mind Lewis, what are your sector times? I can compare them to mine on the weekend. The second sector has only one high speed part, you can see at 5:16 on @Pretend racer 's video, he reached 317 km (198 mph). What is your top speed there?

Thanks Tibor!:) ohhh....I cant wait till the wheelbase and wheel will arrive:) I'm glad you understand the Luxury Problems we PC users have;) To be honest I dont think that PC and consoles differ in lap times from each other. Of course on PC you can use a lot more settings in the car setup but In the end every car setup need to be driven the right way and thats sometimes harder than improving on your current setup. A lot of fast drivers have set their FFB to a minimum for a hotlap because of less force impacts in the steeringwheel and a faster handling but this also use a lot of training. At the end of the day its hard to compare console vs pc on laptimes because FFB on my PC even with my old CSL Elite wheelbase is so much stronger than on console and its hard to get a clean lap on both platforms with the same FFB and nail every corner right;)

Just to be clear on something,
I was honestly joking about the 7:45 lap time.
I doubt if I had 12 months practice I couldn’t get anywhere near that kind of time.
My first split delta is averaging between 3:14.5** - 3:15.2
And I’m getting to the 2nd around 5:23.2 ish

Then it's quite the same like @LeiF 's time (from RSR):

    7:56.169
    1st: 3:14.145
    2nd: 2:08.502
    3rd: 2:33.522

His 1+2 sector is 5:22.6, six tenths less then yours. And his laptime is exactly 6 tenths quicker then yours.
It seems, it's some tacho calibration issue.

Recorded a few laps without much drama earlier in the week - an 8:17 and 8:14. That said, this latest session was a total nightmare. I honestly believe 70-80% of the 1.5+ hours I invested was spent failing miserably in the GP section. The turn that cuts off the Mercedes Arena might just be my new least favorite area of any circuit. I had maybe five or six attempts at most on the Nordschleife section. This lap is actually rather sad in it's own right since I made contact with the pit lane divider at the end and threw away a second or two. Just my damn luck! Then again, this is all self-inflicted from neglecting the GP and Endurance layouts and running Tourist too often online.

On the other hand, I shouldn't feel too bad being within 25 seconds of @Daniel Perez on a Nordschleife challenge. That's usually the way it goes! haha

I took the pedals to bits without having a clue what I was doing. Cleaned things out a bit and put them back together fully expecting them to be dead as a doornail .

They worked. Perfectly. I have no idea why, and to be honest I don't care. Better to be lucky than good.

So I chipped away at it. 8mins 18, 16, 14, 13 a 12 and then down to this 10.4. I'm happy with that and will leave it there.

    ---

I've always been conscious that I don't grip the wheel enough; sometimes it even slips through my fingers. It's the biker thing, soft hands and all.

Anyway, I got two pairs of cheap jeans from Asda for work. They came on clamp style hangers. The clamps fit onto the T150 perfectly and I can rotate the wheel whilst hardly gripping it at all.

Maybe it's all in the mind but if it works for me, then it works.

My wheel looks like Mickey Mouse now. :)

Just had another go, such a beast of a combo.

If I could string together a clean one I see the potential to shave up to maybe 2 seconds off my time, but at that pace it is a bit risky really; not much margin for error left :)
So after 2 final failed attempts I will call it a day on this one.

    Grats guys, some mega times!

Okay so after trying pretty much every evening this week plus Friday and Saturday during the day I’ve finally managed a clean lap, albeit quite slow.

This is a savage one this week, one wrong move and you’re dead. Very enjoyable though when I finally got round this evening.

The chequered flag is waved for WHC124, many of us have already waved a white one!

This week has featured some quite stunning competition, some amazing times, some very patient and persistent improvement and real dedication from everyone.

Welcome back Daniel Perez and welcome back to the top step! A brilliant first time, then improved to an exceptional winning time of 7.47.189. It was just as well because Tibor Solyom popped in an almost equally brilliant 7.48.437 to take second place. Times to be confirmed so that’s provisional!
Early leaders LeiF and AB770577 below eight minutes were joined by Pretend racer who posted a great time and vid and Lewsixbone, consistently improving and showing an eye-popping amount of effort. Many congrats, the rest of us are in awe!

Well done to all those that submitted a time and welcome to Peggy 11.
