1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

What I dislike about ACC

So many damn great cars and not enough time to play

Seriously if there was ever a positive negative it resides in not enough time in the day for me to get to play. But to stay on a few topics what I have found is this
    1. The 2018 Nissan is I think going to be my go to car
    2. The Jag is just to finicky a beast for me
    3. The Ferrari is like my BFF but she does not feel the same
    4. The BMW is well just a fine tuned German watch yet I don't know how to wind it
    5. The Bentley, all I can say is its just British and fast
    6. The Lambo, just don't like it
Waiting for the rest of the cars which I am very much anticipating the NSX. As for me it is hard to decide which car to use, setup and get acquainted to as each car has its own attitude and takes some time to get used to. I am not sure how anyone else is doing this, but its very frustrating to say the least wanting to drive all of them at the same time, GEE THANKS FOR NOTHING KUNOS ;)

Just to let you know guys, that the v1.0 will have the first version of the NSX which is... not that good.
The 2019 update will get the current NSX which from what I've been told is much much better.

Keep the hype down on the NSX :D

Your weakness is rear mid engine cars i see.

Btw i think nissan is my 2nd favourite or maybe it is ferrari or jag........It's hard.

Recent videos of ACC from Monza shows people using the 2019 Bentley. I guess we won't get it until the 2019 update as well?

No that's the 2018 Bentley, it also raced last year... (geesh is it "last year" already... ?!)

The NSX has a 3.5 liter V6 engine which I assume is much lighter than the 5.2 liter V10 of the Huracan. Even though their engine sits at the same place, their handling characteristics can be very different from each other. I for example hate the handling of the Huracan gt3 in both AC1 and ACC but I love driving the 2015 McLaren 650s GT3 and they are both rear mid engine cars.

I hope you don't take this the wrong way, but would you care to elaborate? I'm generally curious and don't know what people are referring to?

Yea smaller engines are lighter but that's not the only cause here lamborghini has 60% or more weight on rear bcoz of awd to rwd conversion that more than most rear mid engine cars in gt3.
Still a mid engine will always behave like lamborghini in extreme cases and more like ferrari in best cases.
That moment of inertia ain't gonna listen to anyone lol.

It's quite a bit understeery unfortunately and not so competitive.
The EVO 2019 model cures all of that issues.

I wonder what makes a car uncompetitive in a category with BoP.
Not kidding, I actually ask myself about that all the time.

To go back on topic about what we dislike in ACC its hard to find anything to dislike game is top notch but i do rage when people join and i get that stutter for like .300 of a second that costs me time and position and going off track if in corner... that should not be happening in a racing sim. Other than that.. i love the game :)

470 hrs in the game and still nowhere near the content we will get and time i will put in the game :)

That is a very good question actually, glad you asked.
The BoP is not a universal equaliser. There are rules behind it, linked to specific engineering decisions. For example, torque is linked to weight, max power is linked to frontal Area, etc etc. It is complicated and even I didn't got access to the whole rule set, which the FIA keeps very well protected.
But the whole idea behind is that, yes they try to bring the cars close to each other, but the best car/driver combination, will still win. Of course manufacturers try to "exploit" the system as they can. Some manufacturers are happy enough to win just one race in the whole league, others to "sell" as many cars as possible, and so on. The system works well, as it is difficult to have a car winning all the races.

It's a great series, I've been watching more and more of it since ACC was announced and have yet to see a race that wasn't full of drama. It's really accessible on youtube too.
