1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Generic Weekly Hotlap Challenge #126 – Sexy Beast

Discussion in 'Console Lounge' started by Totall Wrytoff, Apr 28, 2019.

  1. Welcome to the thread for the Weekly Hotlap Challenge #126 – Sexy Beast - and the First Round of “Il Campione d'Italia” mini-series.

    The Challenge:
    Hotlap
    Car: Ferrari 330 P4
    Track: Imola
    upload_2019-4-28_21-23-21.png
    upload_2019-4-28_21-23-29.png
It’s going to be an Italian themed few weeks for WHC and we’re starting with the Ferrari 330 P4 from 1967. At Imola. Va bene!

The Ferrari P was a series of Italian sports prototype racing cars produced by Ferrari during the 1960s and early 1970s.
The P4 is mid-engined, 3968cc, fuel injection, (not carbs) V12, endurance sports car. Only four Ferrari P4s were ever made: three new 330 P4s and one ex P3 chassis. The ex P3 car was written off after a crash and fire at Le Mans in 1967 and rather controversially rebuilt by Jim Glickhaus. The three original P4s are still around, one owned by a certain Lawrence Stroll, one owned by a German and one owned by a French family.

The P4’s biggest racing moment came at Daytona. Enzo Ferrari finally got his revenge on Ford with P4s finishing 1-2-3 on Ford’s home turf. Until his death, Enzo kept a picture of the trio on their final lap of the momentous race. I could go on about this fantastic, bella macchina but I’m very short on time this week. Just drive it!

Have a drool over this pic though before you do….
    upload_2019-4-28_21-24-9.png

It’s a fantastic view from the driver’s seat too.

Imola is just 80 kilometres east of Maranello and named after Ferrari's late founder Enzo and his son Dino who had died in the 1950s. So WHC 126 is molto Italiano, e spero che ti piaccia!

The recommended pressure for the Vintage tyres is 37psi all round.

How to take part - Hot lap:
To enter, select Drive > Hotlap, choose the and. Please setup the session as shown below:

To qualify for WHC you must have the ambient temp set to 26 DegC.

    Weekly Hotlap Challenge Championship League
    How it works:
    1. Enter the Weekly Hotlap Challenge as posted every Sunday evening and you will be automatically entered into the league table.
    2. Your ranking in the final standings, posted on Sunday evening, will earn you points, as follows:
    Place Points: 1st 15 2nd 14 3rd 13 4th 12 5th 11 6th 10 7th 9 8th 8 9th 7 10th 66
    3. Every player taking part in a WHC, but finishing outside the top 10 will get 4 points.
    4. Every player who is in the table, (ie has entered a previous WHC) but does not play that week will get three points each week.
    5. Players that join WHC after WHC#114 will be awarded 3 points retrospectively for every WHC missed. For example, if you enter WHC for the first time at WHC#124, your name will be added to the table, with 27 points, plus whatever you score in WHC#124.
    6. Specialist Challenges will also feature throughout the season. These will be as monthly mini-series, for example Formula 1 February or Muscle Car Month, or nominated car types, for example the best driver in road cars. These events will be announced in the WHC Thread.

The updated Championship league table will be displayed in a new post in the Console Lounge each week.

At the end of the year, the WHC before Xmas week, the winners will be declared -
    * Championship podium
    * Specialist Challenge Winners
    * 1st place Contributor (the most Bonus points)
    * 1st place Loyal Lapper (who has entered most regularly, most often, if there is a draw, Bonus points count, then Champ points)

I actually had to look that up to see what it meant
no track limits were harmed during this lap.
    Great combo again totall.
Can’t believe I’m saying this but I think Im really gonna enjoy this car once I learn how to control it proper.

Yeah definitely do, It’s been ages since you posted a time mate.

I wanted to ask you something about the TS-Pc rim.
I’m been thinking of getting the Thrustmaster F1 rim for a while now but I noticed last week that the TM open wheel rim from the TSPC can be bought separate as an add on now for £119.

Would you say it’s a good rim? Worth the price?

Went home for lunch just to spin around for half an hour. Must have a problem. Forgot to tell you Totall Wrytoff, I jumped around when I saw the combo. An old Ferrari in Imola is the must. I know the track in theory of course but never drove on it. I was waiting for it. My jumps toned down when I got in the beast... I am running pretty stiff setup for the moment. Really enjoying now

Shakedown and to get a lap time up.
The car feels a bit floaty, (workman/ tools...) and I'm intrigued by your stiff set-up Emmanuel Tubbiolo.;) The view out is certainly enticing.
PS: 1.53.6 is excellent Lewis. Wow!:rolleyes: You've probably got more to come, but blistering pace from the off. Nice.

I am not at home but what I remember was excessive antirol bar front and back.. Stiffer front spring. Low power diff. And stiffer bump i think. I'll send all that later. I get a good bit of understeer at entry but I adapted to it. Just more enjoyable to drive

    Cheers pal.
I tried earlier today for an hour but failed at improving my time. There’s maybe a little more for me but I need to stop over driving it.
I’m still working on the set up, feels a bit floaty for me too. Might be because I running it too soft.

This is my settings for the moment. Nothing fancy. I usually start pretty stiff and when I get to the limits I start to loosen a bit to improve lap time.

The thing I am happy about is I started few weeks ago to do my own settings. Meaning a car that suit what I like and take the opportunity since AC to know more about cars. Always wanted that.

Also strangely I have 57 on bias. I usually like it higher but it cost too much in braking time on this one for me.

These were my go to when learning/understanding about setting up a car. In fact I still use them now and again if I’m struggling............ i.e. this week
    Might help someone.
