1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

    Dear developers:

As you know, ASW 2.0 for Oculus Rift is now ready, but it needs to be implemented by developers in non-Unreal apps.

And, as you know, you title is not only a sim racing best seller, but also a Rift seller (probably the most one).

We know AC development finished time ago; but please, Kunos: don't forget about users with low end PCs, and implement ASW 2.0 on AC.

    Many thanks.

We have had the opportunity to use ASW 2.0 in ACC and it is not as good as you might think, the impressions range from you can see a difference if you know what to look for to I cannot see much of a difference.
Since AC is so very well optimized, it is not much of a big deal, in ACC which is quiet demanding in VR, it did not change much.
No free lunch, if you want better performance get a better cpu/gpu.

It's not an optimization question: ASW glitches in some billboards simply ruins the experiencie of users with low-mid cost computers (everybody can't buy a $2.000 computer, friend): we are not looking for performance improvement; we are looking to avoid glitches.

Oculus staft say appps are easy to patch for ASW 2.0, and the AC credits say the game is in development from years 2010 to 2020...

Kunos, please: help the Oculus Rift users.

    Many thanks.

Your expectations on the improvement that ASW 2.0 is supposed to bring are probably grounded on Oculus marketing, try it with ACC, as it is already working with ACC and you will see that the improvement as per the people who actually have experienced ASW 2.0, like me, range from barely noticeable to interesting if you know what to look for.
VR, in it present stage is extremely gpu/cpu power hungry to get a decent experience and no developers can save you from that reality, that you like it or not.

ASW 2.0 benefits are dependent on the PC. It was a big improvement for me with an i8700 (non K) and a 1070. But I had some pretty bad artifacting / tearing with ASW 1.0 on ACC.

I think ASW 1.0 in AC out performs ASW 1.0 on ACC, at least on my machine.

My reaction to the ASW 2.0 implementation on ACC.
