1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

    Been there done that,
Not only with this thread but with many others, this forum is not for feature requests, improvements ideas, or even basic criticism.

IMHO devs only show up for getting easy points when something is about to be released or to clarify something. How hard would be to be transparent about their priorities? or to just write "ack" in proposal threads? what's the point of forums if devs don't read or react to it? we already have Reddit for that.

I still hang around because I really want this game to success, but boy, they are managing the community so poorly, again, IMO.

Free tip for Kunos: Learn something from Warframe devs and community management.

Still hoping that this is still somewhere in the masterplan as release day approaches.

If not possible for sure Kunos will keep on trying to implement it. Same for multi display.

We dont have some basic stuff (imo) for simracers like tripple screen support, mouse while in VR, combined controls, so i wouldnt hold my breath for track IR.
I have faith but since i bought the game some months ago i havent been able to do a single race.
I am just stfu'ing and hoping for the best at release, you should do the same.

Yea, not so sure... It’s a different engine so I would expect some code changes needed? Also they’ve been hard at work looking to support triple monitors and polishing the game for release so don’t get mad if this doesn’t make it into 1.0 release...

I suspect that TrackIR support (and, as a result, FaceTrackNoIR, Opentrack and Tobii) is probably easier to implement than triple-monitors.

It’s no secret that Kunos is updating ACC to UE 4.22 and, although no one effectively confirmed, from my own reading of 4.22 ndisplays notes, it seems it adds support for “TrackIR” devices.

What remains to be known is if Kunos will add it in time for v1.0 release, add it in a later update or if it will add it at all.
The absence of a devs insight about TrackIR support in here is, by me, seen as something that they can be looking to be included in v1.0 but is dependent of other tasks being successfully concluded first.

Personally I would be very grateful and immensely happy if v1.0 will add TrackIR because some time ago I changed the FOV back to where I like to have it, that is FOV 28, and, although the driving is much more natural, due to the perception of scale and corresponding distances, I lack almost completely the perception of the cars behind and by my side, which makes racing quite tricky when near other cars.

For online races is madness to use such a FOV without TrackIR, because it would be disrespectful of me to impose my lack of awareness to others, but the lack of TrackIR forces me to use a FOV that is not my first choice (38 at the very least) and still have a limited perception of the surrounding.
The use of virtual mirror is something that I always struggle to use (I don’t like it and rather make use of the car’s own mirrors) and the use of radar is completely out of question for me.
So, currently I stopped racing online - and that is the type of racing I truly enjoy - unless I revert the FOV back to 38, at the very least, and turn virtual mirror on again.

The issue is that when using my preferred FOV the driving is immediately natural but, when I change the FOV up, there is a time of relearning the car position, braking distances and so on and it never feels as good as the narrow FOV, and still is a compromise.

But there is less than 3 weeks for ACC release, so I’m willing to wait a little longer to return to online racing, hopefully wishing that with v1.0 I can use my preferred view online.

Good to keep bumping this. I did end up getting a 49” ultra wide and TrackIR would be perfect with that. Very wide screens are fast becoming a popular VR or triples alternative and TrackIR completes that approach.

I’m hoping the devs can accommodate TrackIR ASAP. I suspect fixing the multiplayer and adding scheduled races or similar is going to be their priority though. ;)

Just found out that ACC implements 'vertical' FOV - so when I set the correct FOV (30 deg) the view is awful in single (16:9) monitor. It is near unplayable for me. I can't look to apexes properly - have to use other trackside cues to turn, especially for LH turns when the A pillar gets in the way. I know the devs have a lot of competing priorities, and MP will be high on that list, but without TrackIR/Opentrack support (and without VR, triples or a super-wide or large screen) I can't see my playing ACC much.... if at all.. Please implement a head tracker solution!

After you've set the FOV (zoom), have you then tried moving your viewpoint up/down/forward/back until you can see the track better? Obviously I'm not saying that this would be better than TrackIR support (still hoping) but at least it's a temporary workaround.

Thanks for the tip. I've tried and it makes things a bit better, but I rely a lot on looking into the turn to try to judge corners - and can't with correct FOV except on the largest radius corners. The only other option is to expand the FOV which brings other issues... I don't want to change my technique, since I use it on PC2 & AC (where TrackIR/Opentrack is supported), and also when I get the rare chance to drive on track irl.. I can't afford triples (not properly supported yet) or VR. (issues with that too).. head-track was a good mid-way compromise..

Not sure if you used it, but earlier versions of ACC had a basic "look with wheel" function which looked into the corner as you steered. When it was removed the developers said they hoped to be able to put it back in later.
