1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

I dont think its in any way too hard, just seems many dont seem to figure out you need to run special events to unlock the next rating.

Simply making it very clear they need that for the next step would be enough. I do like the special events and they are a good asset to ACC. I do know that many mp only guys rarely run many of the SP features.

These are really the guys we need to have an SA rating, the bigger majority that likely rarely or never run MP will use special events so will unlock SA but they dont need SA ratings to race the AI.

That is unless the AI has had enough wrecking from these guys and starts restricting AI race sessions. ;):D

Tutorial screen and explaining in game to people how to get the ratings should be good.

For example tutorial screen > ratings > and there is tab for each but they are grayed out.. so you start from the first one. And by unlocking those you move to the next one. Etc.

That's not an issue for you, you have done what the system wants you to do and you want to improve, so no problem

Does the SA take the impact speed into account? I Like racing AI to get my skills up ;) but sometimes the catch my of guard and in the break zone I give them a little love tap  Or does the system say a hit is a hit.

P.S. AI 89% Aggression 60% at Monza. My Lap times are low 51's.

    Kind regards

Not really. MR did it that way, but ACC kind of evolved. Now we (try to) determine minor impacts by the outcome; if both cars just keep going on it's fine. If one of them gets out of the track, or starts to lose control (CC), the accident is recognized as such.

Thank you for the quick reply. I really like the rating system, it made me faster, safer and more patient with overtaking. Luckily the 29th is only days away now :)

Yeah...especially more patient while overtaking. When you're stuck behind someone you have the good feeling that you're constantly gaining trust points and SA...good extra motivation to not screw it up.

BTW, SA 50 doesn't seem to be enough for mostly clean racing. Nürburgring server last night was quite a mess.

We’ve been bumping our pub server to SA60 as it seems to then make ppl more appreciate the license and effort involved to keep it there...

I think 70 or maybe 80 will be a better option later, in Australia numbers are still quite low so at 60 its ok atm. Plus we generally have better drivers here. :p

If you consider how you drive and what rating you have then to find similar people to race with they would need a similar rating. I would need to cause lots of carnage to get to 50 so its no surprise that 50 is more like MR ABCD. ;)

Can I just break in and say ‘thanks’ for the CC rating, if nothing else? I think this one function, after many years of simracing, has finally taught me not to overdrive my front end. I’m starting to begin gradually turning into the apex earlier, instead of putting too much lock on too late into the corner. In the process, my tires aren’t yelling at me quite so much anymore!

Well said. It's exactly the same here - the CC seems to be directly connected to my pace. If it's low, I'm slow and if it's high, I'm fast.

It has taught me to not steer too much while still braking...one of my worst racing habits. I now know that even if you feel you're still too quick, it's better to release the brake and start turning. You might miss the Apex but your turn will be way smoother and faster thanif you try to force the car in under heavy braking.

    Regarding
I'd say "wait for it" :D This is the state of my poor BMW after a 1h CP server test late into the night:

If you think CC helped you until now, well. I have good news for you. There's a whole different game inside when tyre wear and management is important.
Though I had a pretty tough race here (wheel overheating = little/no FFB, tyres cooling out, resulting in a wall contact and heavy aero damage) , so usually it should play out a bit nicer.

Sorry to pile-on, but I too am in the 'love-the-ratings-system' camp. It is amazing to me how my times have really improved. And, it translates to other games/sims as well.

I'm still several seconds behind the top-runners in multiplayer, so a lot of work to do. No matter though, ACC gives me a really great single player experience with the adjustable AI, and I find their behaviours really quite good. And as for multi-player, also loving that, even though I'm usually in the 2nd half of the field. But I'm really happy with that, because that seems to be where there is a great mix of challenge vs. opportunity. I can't just pass the other players too easily. On the other hand, it's also not impossible and I don't get bored just running behind the car in front for the entire race.

And adding to that a bunch of new tracks and cars to get to grips with.

I know CC and CN will be my very good friends for quite some time :D if I don’t want to see my SA going down a cliff.

    I just can’t find my Porsche ..... yet :D

  19. not only! CC is great to understand if you are making the tyres work. In a way it's a good tool to evaluate your setup!
