Hello fellow simracers!

I have such a full schedule this weeks but I just had a 30 mins run just to set a laptime and to make an idea about the car, the circuit and my potential on this track. When i stopped improving in big steps i've stopped. I think i have lots to improve.. at least 1-1.5s i assume. Will have another go on Sunday and hopefully improve

This car feels so light.. i really feel that this take practice to master, but once you do.. oh boy!

Other than that, Totall Wrytoff i just love your description talent, it is really immersive. Good good job!

Loving this. I know where I am losing time in all the corners except the first chicane.. any tips? I have tried braking back to 4th and going in slow, but that’s not as fast as carrying the speed in 5th through it, but not sure if to brake or when to lift off?? I find it really hard to hit the first apex and invariably slide off the track. It was mentioned to go round here at 150, but if I try anywhere near that I am sliding. As usual and videos welcome or top tips.
I am delighted to have cracked the 1.37 barrier though

Nice combo this. I find it easy to be consistent, if not really that fast.

I put it onto race weekend on alien AI, same class opposition for a 10 lap race.

LaFerrari & McLaren P1 were much faster but I qualified 6th with a 36.3.

In the race the LaF disappears but I nip through to second and a Pagani (one of those monstrosities from a few weeks ago) holds up everything else.

Eventually a P1 gets past the USS Nimitz and reels me in but I hold on for second.

Just goes to show that the AI aren't aliens. That title belongs to those up the top of our leaderboards. I was nearly a minute ahead of the next Sesto.

Nice way to practice.

First lap out in hotlap on lower fuel I get 35.5.

Satisfied with that

I have this issue all the time! Generally that is why I only do a handful of laps and then give up, and why I try to avoid practicing for any scheduled event where I already know the car and track.
If I practice for say 10 mins before an SRS event I will do my best time early on in practice then when I go to the actual quali session I can’t repeat it.

My main issue i think is lack of concentration when there are no other cars on track, always do my best lap times in races and never in quali or hotlap.

Give me a race and some fast guys to chase and I will be fine but put me alone on track and I am defeated by my own brain lol.

I have the same issue as moodyryder.. very consistent 1.35 laps.. but it seems like i cannot go faster. i still have the feeling that i am aproaching slow corners wrong This morning i even gave up and played online races

Pretty happy about that with the little time that I had. I am starting to learn that some weeks it's just not possible. Came home last night with the plan to do a 2h solid but one of my kid remembered she got an Xbox for Christmas... again I am glad I stayed cool about it. Anyway back to work

 

I started using the ghost car in the WHC series and found that helped me with that competitive thing...otherwise I am focused on the lap time numbers and, as you said, I also defeat myself with my own brain as soon as the green numbers start showing! But when I overtake the ghost, I get into that frame of mind that keeps me in front. As an aside, as I gain racing experience in SRS, I have also been regularly setting pb's during the race vs qualy or hot laps.
I am stuck in the 1:35's....this car defies my ability to narrow down a setup. I have been all over the map with it! I see in that wonderful car/track description that it is an all wheel drive car....likely requiring a different driving approach.
