1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Triple Screen Discussion

  1. I have tried absolute everything. Nvidia CP, Nvidia Inspector, all methods of AA, nothing helps.
I just cant stand the ****ty graphics on the centre screen, I am really trying but cannot accept a 2019 title with this image quality.
I am not sure if is due to the size of the screens 32" or something but this is really bad.

When I get close to the objects the image is Okish, but cars on the track lets say 50/100m in front, it is like I am back 10 years in time. Shadows, reflex, edges, everything is awful.
What FOV/View Distance and Project Correction are you guys using?

    Thanks.

  2. i am using 3 x 24" screens. 0.5 correction and FOV of 26 and adjusted View Distance to the back (cockpit cam, not helmet cam). Image looks perfect on all screens. You should NOT use a high FOV with any triple Screen configuraion. Fist of all the FOV in ACC is a vertical FOV (like in AC). As you go higher then 30 the picture gets really bad with projection correction enabled. For a correct and realistic view for triple 24" FOV should be around 24 to 28. That gave me the best results and comfort. You have to adjust your seating position then to the back, but it looks perfect.

  3. Thanks for the tips. I will try reducing the fov and see how it goes.

Whatever I do, the center keeps blurry :(

Are you sure about that, because in the AC triple screen app, you put in the monitor width, not height, which would imply a horizontal FOV is being used.

I am very sure about it - AC and ACC use VFOV.

  7. yes for 100% ;-) for example, if it would be HFOV setting, i would have a way higher number of setting because the HFOV is on triples much more than on a single screen. BUT, the numbers in the FOV setting are for both cases the same. And the number is the amount of degrees you see vertically on your monitor. So for 100% this is a vertical setting.

Couple issues I have with this post:
    • The blanket statement that you shouldn't ever use a FOV above 30 on all triple setups is wrong. FOV settings depend on monitor size and distance from your eyes. I have 3 x 27" setup that's 20.5" from my eyes: 36 vFOV is mathematically correct for me, as proven in AC1, RF2, AMS and all other sims that use vertical FOV. Regardless of whether the sim has a proper multiview Triple Monitor option or not, vFOV setting does not change.
    • The image does not look perfect on all screens....the center screen's image quality changes (becomes blurry/not well defined) once projection fix is enabled on any setting (from 0.1 to 1.0). It a known defect of the Panini projection...hence the reason why it's not used for triple monitor setups in other sims. I have not tested it at lower than 30 vFOV (and I won't), because that FOV isn't relevant to my setup (36 is my correct FOV).
There's no way around the center screen looking like that when using the projection fix...until they implement the true triple monitor mode, we have to use this blurry version. It will definitely look bad if your 32" screen is 1080p (mine are 27" 1080p and it's very noticable how bad the blurriness looks)....if you have 1440p screens then it might look a little less awful...but not by much. I use around 0.5 to 0.6 projection fix as this gives the best compromise between vertical and horizontal view.

They REALLY need to give an option to adjust the in-game seat farther back; I've always thought that moving the driver view back in cockpit view should move both the camera AND the actual seat. You can't see the mirrors with the seats where they are unless you move through the seat, which introduces horrible clipping of the seat.

  9. I speak here for ACC and image quality. Everything above 30 on a triple setup looks really ****. That a correct calculated vFOV can be more then 30 degrees i know pretty well myself. I was speaking here ONLY for quality issues in ACC. Thats it ;)

How does the triple screen app calculate a vertical FOV without knowing the monitor height? It can't.

screen Ratio is doing the math.

  12. Yes, 1080p with 32 inch here. I would never have hardware to run triple 1440p I am afraid. and YES, you are right, the seat needs to move, not the camera or at least if KUNOS could remove the seats from the cockpit view, same as Wheel and Driver Hands.

I will try tonight for the last time if I can find an acceptable setup for me. Got to be honest, dont have much hope anymore.

Well this is New... from Windows Notification Center,

Application has been Blocked from accessing Graphics hardware.
Application AC2-Win64-Ship has been blocked from accessing Graphic hardware.

    I have, Windows 10 version 1903, AMD driver 19.5.2

My video driver is completely crashed I'll have to reinstall it.

For me it's no big deal,
I only use this PC to race, for others it has to be....

For the first time in months, I just ran laps on Black Cat with AC1, the game still works perfect an so does my Crossfire and EyeFinity.

Because Early Access worked, I'm now trying to hold back the 'feeling' that the Red Team is not welcome here, I'll try a different driver.

Does a 1080ti run triples 1080p at epic settings 60fps?

  15. Nope, at least not here. 4690K@ 4.6ghz with 2080.

    Thanks.

    Yes and no (8700K@4.7GHz).
Depends on weather, number of AI cars, location on track etc etc.

In nice weather I get 60 fps v-synced about ... (licked finger in air) ... 95-ish percent of the time. The dips are small enough to not be annoying.
Haven't raced all that much in bad weather yet, just been testing all the cars on different tracks in good weather. But I expect the fps to dip quite frequently in rain at night, possibly staying permanently below 60.

The most expensive setting is the "voluminous spray? / fog?", what ever it is called correctly.
I have switched it off. So with rtx2080 and 3 wqhd 60fps +- 10 possible.

  18. The other factor is due to the lack of triple screen support we need to increase resolution scale when using the Panini thingy and this affects the FPS. A lot.

I just kept it at 100 and now my eyes have almost gotten used to the blur, lol.
