1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Look with wheel. Anyone getting on with it?

Well as the title says, anyone using the Look-with-wheel feature? And what do you think of it?

I thought it had good potential, but when testing I found it really hard.... it completely threw me off my line through corners. It wasn't helped by the fact that I was learning the track at the same time, I tried a few different settings, but quickly turned it off.

I wonder if it is a feature that, after some time using it, will 'click' and actually be useful, (without TrackIR support) or if its a bit of a gimmick?

I like it however only at low values <15%

  4. it's the big hidden secret to make yourself slower :D

I will never understand people wanting something like that in a game where "seeing" the movement of your car is basically everything.. why would you want to mask that behind layers of added visual motions is beyond me... but hey, it's your laptimes not mine :D

I understand your point and it's true. For me I don't have a fancy monitor setup yet and only have LTW at 10%, LTH at 80% and movement disabled therefore I can see a lot of chassis movement in a wide FOV cockpit view. I have my eye on 32:9 49" so maybe things will change once I upgrade :)

I am running a 32” screen, and was on 56 fov, I have recently gone down to 46, and using 20 LLW, the other two settings for it I have left at 50%. I totally get the comment about the messing with your visuals, but with lowering fov and moving seat back as much as feasible the LLW setting assist with seeing where I am going. I am still experimenting thought,

I was having trouble finding the words to describe how using it felt... but "messes with my head" & "felt weird" is as good as anything.

I was one of the people rooting for it, and I need to set it up properly. The first version 1.0.0 had some laggy feeling about or filtering, that threw me off.

In AC I allways used it (RHM) because I run a normal 16:9 single screen and it gave me quite some look into the corner. It needs to be very linear to the wheel input though, than I could still see perfectly what the vehicle was doing.

And an absolute statement made by Stefano again, which let’s him look like a fool...

You can adapt to it quickly, and if you use a single screen it could be very helpful.
If you have recalibrated your perception, it DOES NOT mask the movement of the car relative to your steering inputs.
It just takes a matter of time.
Just don’t expect it to instantly click. ;)

  16. I am sure I can recalibrate my perception and get used to a bunch of nails into my scrotum.. that doesn't make it a smart thing to do though :p

See how this function is implemented in LFS (The camera follows the direction of the wheels, not force vectors or something else). Do the same, please, then it will work. I used RHM in AC, then switched to TrackIR. There is nothing in ACC. I keep waiting and hoping that TrackIR will come to ACC.

  20. I'm using LWW since the first available version of RealHeadMotion for AC. And just a small amount of it. I can't drive with the static view anymore.

And I would disagree with @Lord Kunos here. Just because he don't use/like it don't mean automatically it's not useful for anybody else out there. And it doesn't slow me down lap times related.

I don't like this version, I prefer to have the version that was in PC1, so look to apex without the wheel going off center, so it would start to look at the apex before getting to the corner, and you were able to adjust the amount it would look in advance, not turn with the wheel when your already there like this version, its horrible..
