And while some (or a lot, idk) people really want a SP experience, I'm hoping they are gonna drop the whole career thing. I don't think there is enough budget to make it a real immersive and therefore enjoyable experience. Even in F1 I don't feel the immersion half through a season anymore...and that's one of the most immersive SP experiences in terms of racing one can get.

Instead I'd much rather see them concentrating on bugfixes and things like lighting (which is not that good atm), saftey-/pace-car, starting sequence, introduction of (MANY) statistics etc etc, which all (would) give a much more immersive experience. But that's just my humble opinion.

one more area to improve is practice sessions. now every car goes out in the beginning and keeps lapping all session long. there sould be some variability in AI stints, also sometimes cool-down or slower laps (when they let faster cars pass) too. this could avoid building up long trains behind slower cars.
in F1 games it worked quite good already back to 2010-2011 if i remember correctly. AI made sometimes slower laps and shorter stints.

 

+1 on this, everthing is follow my leader right now, leaving pitlane/pitting needs to be more varied, and the constant overlapping of cars in pitlane.

Gyus, don't expect too much from a revised career mode. I just expect some bugfixing and driver swap and AI behaviour stuff, but concerning the non motivating concept I do not think that this is subject to be worked on due to lack of resources.

Patience is a virtue. It's also summer. If at least some of the devs aren't taking some holiday, then they really ought to be. They deserve it

 

The free addon will be 1.1, I guess, with polish,bugs fix and optimizations.

Honestly I haven't tried it since it was first added. I might give it a go if I can squeeze it in between league commitments / work / family. Is it worth in then in your opinion?

 

career mode would be good with full field, not 15 AI cars in my opinion...

 

Or with usage of bonuspoints, a galery for the shiny medals you won, championship points, feeling of progress, test sessions would be real test sessions for a specific task and not just only hotlapping, steam achievements, possibility to change team/car/difficulty during career and so on...

Challenges with Steam achievements similar to what AC had wouldn’t hurt, I spent hundreds of hours chasing gold on those challenges.

Also an ongoing global leaderboard for each track would be cool and give people something to try to improve and chase. Could do up to 4 challenges per track, wet with open setup, wet with locked setup, dry with open setup and dry with locked setup.

 

The only issue I'd have with a global leader board is that they can be a bit unattainable for most people. I'm not against one, just I think it would be good to have localised ones as well. It might be a bit easier to get a good ranking in your country.
