1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

    Hi all,

i'm trying to use the motec to get my setup better (Audi R8 in Silverstone with the 2 captures linked), my 1st problem would be the "Susp Histo" , i can't get the rear graph to be like @Aristotelis said in the OP , honnestly it doesn't seem to prevent me from doing a good laptime 1.57.585 with my qualification setup but racewise , it's completely different, the first 3 or 4 laps are ok, then the car becomes harder to control (whatever the track is) , so i'd like to know if the susp histo is 100% trustable. When i do changes on the rear suspensension , it doesn't change the shape of the histo (maybe i don't do enough changes...)

You can trust the damper histograms, they work absolutely fine.

I don't know the R8, I've mostly driven the Lexus so far so I can't tell about actual values for the R8.

But from your damper histogram I can tell you you are heavily underdampened on the rear, your dampers spend to much time in the high speed region most probably because your low speed settings are super low (almost no time spent between -25/25 and no peak at 0, and to weak attenuation in -100/100 vs -25/25).

As a rule of thumb, LS settings are mainly for handling (mostly independant of the track and more linked to driving preferences), HS for grip and to adapt to track profile (e.g. sebring is one hell in termes of bumpy track and needs low HS settings)

So when your tyres are fresh you may be able to give good laps compnsating poor handling behavior, but as tyre degrades over time as a consequence you end up with a shopping trolley.

Thank you but I do not have the track section option?

It's just a tab on the default base_ACC workspace that Kunos provided. Are you using that?

EDIT: DW, I just read your next post :)

I found it but it’s not in the range group section.

It’s nested in a tree of display options.

No you can not. Please see my response below.

I remember our exchange on the topic, the question I answered to, was in a different context.

The request wasn't talking about advanced use of the damper histograms as you would like to see them, but more why is my histogram so flat does it work.

Yes the histograms aren't perfect and lack a tad of adjustability as your remarks already explained (although I replied I wasn't too sure if it was right even if I get the logic behind)

But yes the damper histograms works and for a vast majority of users it helps a ton to adjust dampers settings.

My telemetry shows me rapidly on and off the throttle under heavy braking.

My throttle is not spiking (doesn’t happen anywhere else anyway) and I am definitely off the throttle until I stop braking.

    Happening over multiple sessions.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

I have seen that too. I assume it is automatic blipping of the throttle on downshifts programmed into the ECU

How close does anyone get to their eclectic lap times?

I am definitely improving. My best at Spa in hot lap in the R8 is 2:19.59. The rolling minimum is 19.375. Not long ago I was happy to get below 22s.

My eclectic across all my laps in the 19s is 2:17.030.

I feel I have a second in me but can’t imagine dipping below the 18s.

Hi all , i'm back with another question, thanks to @seb 6th gear , i've managed to fix my underdampened problem on the rear. But i've noticed that i've got a problem on the left side (front and rear) , the temperature is ~10/15° higher that the right side , so speaking for a quali lap it's ok because i still have a 2 laps window to do my best but in race mode , i can feel the car slide ...

edit : track is still Silverstone and car audi r8 ;)

Will the suspension travel remain logged at low frequency? I only ask as I am trying to understand when the shock has reached the bumpstop. Has anyone been able to determine this successfully?

Unfortunately you can't at this time, if the Bump Stop Gap had actual units instead of an arbitrary value you could, but as of right now there's no way.

Hello short question .. does anyone have the problem that with the new vehicles in Motec no damper analysis (damp histogram) is displayed? Can adjust what I want, it will always display the same values .. in the old cars everything works .. lg

Does anyone happen to know what frequency the suspension travel and furthermore the damper velocity are logged at in ACC?

Unfortunately only at 20 Hz, you can check the sample rates in the Channel Editor. Damper velocity is a maths channel relying on the damper travel.

Thank you. I came across that later today. Hopefully it is upped to something more meaningful so we can perform proper damper analysis.
