1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

yeah, you’re right, I’ve out thought myself here!

I know what I mean though, the extra width is just not worth it

The Asus Rog Strix 49" doesn't really do anything that the C49HG90 can't do.
Possibly even uses the same Samsung panel (but different illumination).

Amazon & New Egg has them both at $899...The Asus panel looks to have a sharper curve then the Samsung...

Fashionably late as always....that's me i guess. :D

Ok, not found a sim where the 32:10 resolution gives me any issues yet, lack of g-sync doesn't bother be at all either.

I find it's a perfect compromise between a single monitor and triples. :)

As above, had it a few months now and absolutely love it, bought mine for £649 so if it's this one https://www.samsung.com/uk/monitors/curved-cj890/
then that's a good price, hopefully you went for it in the end. :)

i have no much space for an ultra wide Monitor. But it would be ultra nice.
i use an curved 27" Monitor, and it's fine. I Place my playseat challenge in front of my desk and push the monitor to the front. With the FOV Settings i get a small feeling of " i am sitting in the car".

Its a mixed bag to be honest.
I much prefer VR and was initially disappointed when I set it up on Monday.
I have to keep it away from my wheel as I am scared in case my rig moves and bashes it.
Although the resolution is obviously better than VR, you cant beat the immersion that VR offers.
Having said that, there are a few games that don't support VR that I play (like Wreckfest) where I have had to sit at my PC with a controller. I can now sit and play it on my rig.
I can also use the screen for setting up games and making adjustments to my motion rig software, where before I couldn't read the text as the other monitors were too far away.

I use VR (Oculus Rift) or the Samsung LC49RG90.
I am very satisfied with both.
    But I'm faster in VR

Keep in mind that it depends a bit on your settings and your setup (how close the screen is to your eyes).
Also keep in mind that the screen is a bit bend, so the picture appears a bit differently in real life compared to the screen shot (due to the curvature).
    Setup:
    Distance to eyes: 50-55 cm
Distance to steering wheel: ≈ 19 cm

    View Settings:
    Height: -1
    Lateral: 0
    Distance: -29
FOV: 38° (should be more or less correct for that distance)
    Pitch: -1°
    Projection Correction: 0.3

Anyone here using the Samsung 49" 5120x1440 screen with a 2080Super? I´m thinking about it but I don´t know what kind of performance to expect. I´d like to run it at pretty much max settings (Shadows mid is ok, AA can be KTAA, Resolution scale needs to be 100).

I have it with 1080ti (8700k CPU). Use a mix of Epic, High and Mid settings. Few on Low. No complaints. Very, very happy with my hardware. So far I have not found any need to upgrade my graphics card.
I don't max all the settings because honestly I don't really notice the difference. For me it's typically around 80fps and I'm quite happy.

I have played around with that as well. With a correct FOV, and setting my seat position where I like it (as forward as possible without losing completely the left mirror), I was missing some of the dash. Using the projection setting I was able to get back more of the view of the gauges. Maybe it's not correct, but I don't have any issue, and it actually works quite nicely for me.

65" Samsung 4K Curved TV (60 Hz). Input lag stays in 10-12 ms range so I'm very happy - makes me wonder why so few TV users out there. Had to spend my kids college fund to get 100fps with gfx maxed out on it, but the world needs ditch diggers too...
