1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Yes if you want 1:1 inputs. I change it both in game and in the wheel driver/settings.. Moving forward there maybe a change where the game will automatically alter the steering lock.

Aris mentioned he would like to look into it once the dust settles on 1.1 and dlc etc.. Obviously no guaranties. I don't think it will be that hard for these boys to code in..

But that is just for software lock, the ratio should be correct automatically, as far as I know?

The ratio is correct automatically assuming your hardware wheel lock is higher then the cars actual lock. If you have your wheel set to 620 for example and are using the Porsche with 800 then the steering will be faster then it should be.

I use individual lock settings for my accuforce per car and then also adjust ingame lock setting to match my hardware lock. Only real reason to use this is to have a proper lock stop which avoids you spinning the wheel past its effective range.

Handy catching a big lose or after a spin, if you dont care about having a soft lock you can just set ingame and hardware rotation to 900, all cars will be correct but will allow you to rotate past the effective range of the wheel.

  10. Anyway there is steering ratio in the setup screen that does exactly that

  11. Also I use everything dafault and it seems to have the same speed with any car so...

I’m honestly a little confused here. What happens if it’s not set right? If I turn my real wheel 90 degrees right the in game wheel is also turned at 90 degrees right, how fast it turns depends only on how fast I can turn the real wheel as the movement is matched.

Only thing I can think it would give is to match the bump stops where your real wheel would go further but it wouldn’t do anything, the in game wheel would just stop wherever it’s bump stops are.

Can’t say I have found myself in too many situations hitting the bump stops at 900 degrees, and when I do the location of the wheel is the least of my worries

Yeah, I guess the bump stops are what people are talking about. 1:1 works perfectly for me too by default.

If you have your actual wheel rotation lower then the ingame rotation then it will compress the rotation to fit your hardware limits. So for example if the car in game was 800 degrees and your wheel was 400 degrees then turning your wheel 90 would turn incar wheel 180.

This should always be avoided but on some low end low rotation wheels it cant be avoided.

If its the other way around and your hardware limit is higher then ingame it just does nothing past the actual cars lock stop.

Its therefore really only the bump stops, its rare you get there unless you spin. But if you do and you tried to catch it then your likely well past where the effective range of rotation is. This means it will take a while to go from 900 to say 620 in some cars where your physical wheel input actually does anything.

It just makes it less awkward in these situations. Not an issue 99% of the time but I recall someone recently who said they spun 4 times last race. ;)

Though that’s the case. Would be cool if it could be set per car, set and forget sort of thing.

And no idea what you’re talking about... poor bugger probably needs to take it easier on the tyres though... :)

The realist reprodution of the series that Kunos is aiming, in my point if view is important for SP and for official licenced online events.
For private server and leagues isn't a big deal, and I hope that it will be possible to mix things, cars tracks and have custom car painting.
The personal car team livery /sponsors is a very important feature for private PRO leagues. As they are private I hardly see issues with the current licence.

In private league events specific SA isn’t so important as there are consequences to incidents with protests and penalties.

Public races should lean heavily on the in built ratings though

@martcerv - Can you please help explain this? If I set my wheel to 1080 deg or 900 deg in the wheel driver it has a slightly different effect to the virtual wheel by about 10+/- degrees.. My wheel has 1080 degrees of rotation and I tested this on the Audi..

A second test regarding the Merc. I can say 100% the Merc has 640 degrees rotation. Set that in the game and then set your wheel driver at 640, 900, 1080 and each will give you different results when it comes to the virtual wheel (not that I race with this on) and this is one of the main reasons why I have always set both in game & hardware to match each other.
